I suppose I should report that I saw Gravity earlier this evening. What a delightful walk in the park that was. Visually, I think it's fair to say that it is probably the most awesome [hate that world, but justified here for people to get the message] film I've ever seen. What the film-maker has undertaken to do has been totally realised. It's that good that I forgive it its scientific and physical inaccuracies and there are several, but they don't detract. It's close enough, and if the film stuck strictly to scientific reality there would either be no story, or we'd have to inhabit the cinema for a week or two for it to play out. In 90 minutes, it does an excellent job. For those, like me, who have never been convinced by 3D, this one works, and brilliantly so. With so much depth of field, if couldn't really fail. Sit near the centre, nearer the back, don't buy a premier seat, it's uncomfortable as you can't put your head back [the headrest is set too forward], save money and wish it was longer. Best value film I've seen at the cinema in years. Oh, the IMAX sound is needlessly loud, so some foam defenders or tissue in the pocket may not go amiss, perhaps. And the story is fairly straightforward and simple. That's OK, it's a tale of survival or not, and character tends to reveal itself rather than juicy dialogue, in those circumstances. Thoroughly recommended.

I think I may find an excuse to go again.

For those who saw it before me. You were right.

I didn't like Bullock in it, but the effects were amazing.

Bullock is what puts me off seeing it. Don't like her in anything.

I was neutral on that. But she can act, and she does very well indeed. Of course the effects dominate the story. The story couldn't really be told without them. But they weren't effects for effects sake, as so often happens in films where people comment on the amazing special effects. They were more than amazing. They were convincing.

*disgusting. He is basically saying the schizophenic guy that did the sign language at the Mandela funeral is violent because he is schizophenic. I know a guy that has it and he is as carm as anything. Morgan says schizophenic people are violent a lot.

Not surprised at this because he is the biggest twat on the planet. Well, maybe apart from GMI and Trixter.

I could replace the part for £10, but it'll take 3 - 6 weeks... so I have to buy a new cooker! Argh!

The company that manufactures the drink has released a statement removing themselves from all blame as they do not export to the uk...however there are many export/import businesses here that would supply supermarkets in the uk with west indian produce. The guys here who are mixed up in the drug trade are quite often not the smartest criminals,a bunch of about 8 guys got caught a couple months ago trying to inject a cocaine water solution into pumpkins that were going be exported. It really is rampant,i have cousins that are mixed up in it and have sod all to do with them.We are only a couple miles away from the south american main land and the drug dealers use this to their advantage. We are a small country of 1.3 million people, yet we have more than 500 murders a year,99% of which are drug, gun and gang related .We are very lucky that there is very little spill over, once you are not involved in those activities....do not get me wrong ,Trinidad is a fantastic place to live and visit but as with everywhere there are places and things that can be very nasty...and 2 trinis have played for the saints.....kenwyne and stern....have met and had a beer with both of them.
