QPR are the next Pompey for sure.

 

Yeah but we're not Londoners, so we're better than them.

 

I don't know, for starters the owner has actual money. Okay the most recent foray into the Premier League was an utter farce, but I don't expect to see them make the same mistakes again. Give them a couple of years and I think they'll be a strong team, If I could put a bet on them finishing top half of the PL next season I would put it on now.

 

About time QPR got a new ground. Loftus road is a ****ing ****hole.

Would mean yet another club with a larger capacity than Saints though...

 

If they don't, though, I can see the owners getting fed up. Basically if things don't immediately go as well as they expect, I'm not sure they have the commitment. Promotion for them this season is still going to be difficult.

 

Year and a half out on planning permission, from their timeline. If they don't escape the Championship this season, and thus are still hemorrhaging cash when that point is reached, I doubt it goes ahead.

 

Yeah, they need to go up this year, but I think Burnley will tail off and it will be QPR and Derby for the auto spots.

 

Woah. So Twitter have changed the 'block' function. Previously it stopped people viewing your tweets, or interacting with you.

It now means that you just don't see any replies they send to you. They can still 'follow'. Bit odd.

 

Not Leicester? I can definitely see Derby getting there considering how many goals they score but right now I'd bet on Leicester to win the league. You've also got to consider Forest, Reading and Brighton as real contenders.

 

What if someone you follow retweets them?

I don't doubt your sincerity on this, but where is the payoff..? Who gets to benefit from putting cocaine in drinks, before shipment..? Did the guy knowing buy and drink the cocaine laced pear juice..? I'm sure there is an element here that I am not seeing.

BTW, can't help thinking that you're living in a wonderful part of the world. Feel free to boast any time. And tell us about the downside too.

 

I was fairly strict with No1 Jasper with his spiked pear juice thread [commented on above] being something that could go elsewhere. Well your QPR stadium news could go in the Football League thread. Next time..?

 

The drugs would be in the drinks as a means of concealment, and the shipment would be to someone on the other side who would evaporate the juice, leaving the cocaine behind. This bottle would have gotten misplaced somehow (or a case of the stuff accidentally ended up getting shipped to a store), and the man would have drank it without being aware of its contents.

 

Yeah, I thought about the evaporation element, but the fact that a shipment went astray just seemed a little far fetched to me, what with the importance [to some] of the contents. Of course, it is the one bottle. What it means is, is that there are plenty more out there.

 

In order to get it through customs, it might have had a fraudulent bill of sale and the address of a legitimate company, like a grocer. They would then intercept it before it reached that destination, or have someone at that business on the take who'd accept the goods and then funnel them to the correct party, without it ever being on the books.

As for the value, I haven't the foggiest clue what the value of cocaine in the UK might be, but I'd guess that you could probably dissolve at most a few thousand dollars worth of the stuff in a bottle of juice. Not insubstantial, but if one bottle (or even a case of it) escaped your grasp, it might not be worth potentially compromising your import chain to try and reclaim it.

 

Leicester always seem to trick me into thinking they are going to well, then cock it up. I'm not falling for it again!
