Ah good :) One of mine got A*AAA which still wasn't enough for uni so she's annoyed!

Just got in now - "Congratulations! Your place at University of Surrey (S85) to study Law (3 or 4 years) (M100) has been confirmed." Happy days. :D

Off to collect my certificates from college now, well done again on getting in :)

Well done, bet you're happy :D did your friends and get in fine as well?

Ahhh okay, good then, I was worried you'd have to confirm something on Track and I couldn't get on, if it's automatic then happy days :)

      Yeah in no problem :D

Well done you! What was the unexpected A in, ICT?

Help me out, what's this confirmation business all about? I've been refreshing UCAS all day and nothing, when do I need to do it by? :(

I got the ABB I needed! :D It's gutting though, I got 119/120 in English so if I didn't slack my entire AS year I'd have a comfortable A*, I'm only 2 marks off, and in Law if I got one more mark in AS I'd be A*! And I was like 7 or 8 marks off in Psych so if I didn't **** that up and didn't **** the others up I'd be A*A*A!! But I'm not, and I did well enough so yay :D

      And you? :D

Night, hope you get yours too which you surely will! :)

Beats being stressed out! There is being too relaxed and being lazy (like me :D) but still, relaxed and confident beats being stressed like a maniac either way.

      It's possible! You'll get a very high A either way :p

I see, provided you didn't horrifically bomb your resit and the summer exam you have every reason to be confident then, full marks on coursework is pretty sweet as well.

Being relaxed is the only way you should be about exams! I always say that to people who complain all the time about being worried, it's just logic - no amount of worrying is going to make your results any better, they've already been marked, printed and stuffed into little envelopes, the only thing you're doing is opening it and reading the letters. No point stressing yourself about opening an envelope :D

Further maths, Jesus... not easier in the slightest! C is very good after giving up on it.

You resat a B even though you only needed a B? Talk about covering all bases! But sitting on AAA from AS must have made Unis want to fight for you, can't believe you're not 100% confident for ABB after that :p Surely the possibility of A* is there in Maths now? Looks like you'll be having a good morning on Thursday anyway, you've certainly upstaged me :D

Atmosphere has never been a massive problem with us, though. Yeah those weren't great days for us, can't imagine that was a very fun game to go to.

You did pick three of the most prestigious A-levels, what did you do for your fourth? Assuming you operated the same way we did, 4 for AS 3 for A2.

Well... I would say I half-arsed them but I put in even less effort than that. A (but only by one mark) in Law, B (but only one mark off A) in Psychology, and mid-low B in Eng Lang. January didn't go amazingly though - no Eng Lang exam (but teacher assured me coursework was high A/low B so confident in that), Psychology I got another high B so it would have been a proper howler for me to cock that up to a C overall, but Law I got 2 marks off an A, which is good, but as high as the B is, it still isn't an A. But oh well, resat it (won't have improved my grade, I didn't revise because it was the day after my main Law exam so I focused on that) so we'll see. How about you? As all round? :p

Ah right, that's quite a long way to move that young! Good that you still got to go to games though, even if it was before 2009 so they weren't the best matches in the world :(

If that's the most likely to drop when you're that comfortable, then you must have breezed Maths and ICT, so lucky you! The one that's most likely to drop for me I need to improve from a B to an A, so you're much safer than I am :D

Erm, not quite as prestigious as Physics, Maths and ICT, I did Law, English Language and *cough* psychology. Such a regret, but it's over now, c'est la vie.

Ah that's true! Have you always lived there then?

I can imagine you miss out on a lot of games, even one or two games a season is a lot considering the travel, surely it costs an absolute bomb to go to one game?

Unless you seriously bombed the exam I'm sure you'll have no problems with that, you'd surely need a D to drag it down that far - to do well enough to be sitting on an A, I'm confident you'll not have collapsed to a D!

Ah that's good then! From what I hear it's a nice area so you're lucky there. I had the same dilemma in terms of worrying about city life having lived in the middle of nowhere my whole life - the fact my top two unis are Surrey (which is in the countryside, but quite close to Guildford) and Keele (proper desolate) show I didn't care too much for city life.

Missing Saints games is going to be hard for sure (if I get in!) but I'm quite close to London, couple of away games there? You'd have a nice spread :D

Well if you've got a 30 mark buffer that's no problem :p Surely that means you're considerably closer to an A than a B?! :D

Ah that sounds cool then, bet it'll be a really interesting few years for you. Never heard anything about Loughborough really, is it nice? Can't say I've ever heard of anybody else wanting to do Aeronautical Engineering! I mean, one of my best mates wants to do the same course at the same uni as me (we went to the same open days for convenience and ended up liking the same one, we're not weirdos) but I can't imagine you have many Aeronautical Engineering friends? :p

Did you struggle with the exam then? A lot of people I know did so you wouldn't be the only one. If a lot of people struggled it tugs UMS down, so you might be alright. And if you had a buffer you're probably fine anyway :D
    18. Dan
      Dan
Nice, that sounds awesome, how the hell did you get into Aeronautical Engineering?!

Yeah same age, also going for ABB to do Law at Surrey (living life in the fast lane...), not too optimistic though considering I half-arsed my exams which I regretted instantly the second I started the exam.
    19. Dan
      Dan
Yeah I can hardly wait... :( which uni are you hoping for?

A lot of people did by the end, it's much nicer on here though as you said, I'm far more active on here! It's good that we've got posters on here like you, HR, Brendy, CBK, Frog Chorus etc etc rather than the likes of Rocket and a few others who haunted 606, we do have a good crowd. It's good that you're 18 as well - convinces some people that not all of us are morons!
