If the FA thing is the main tool, why didn't CTWD tell allam at the meeting "Look, we are willing to ask nicely for you not to change the name, but if you do, then we are going to take it up with the FA". Why all this faffing around with profit motives?
Ultimately, Allam is a multi-millionaire businessman, and in most cases you have to be an arsehole to be a multi-millionaire businessman.
I find it hard to believe that Allam is not motivated by profit, and that he merely wants to stabilize the club or whatever - he wants to make money out of this. If that means sacking a fan favourite in a ****ty way, he will do it. If that means taking the stadium into private ownership, he will do it. If that means moving the club out of the City, he will do it. And if it means changing the name, he will do it.
