Allam is correct on this point, well selectively correct anyway.

Company name registered at Companies House is Hull City Tigers Ltd.
Entity name registered at FA is Hull City Tigers Ltd (which was changed in March this year)
Playing/team name whatever you wish to call it is registered at the FA as Hull City

AA can change the entity name as he sees fit (in fact I'd bet most clubs entity names have been changed regularly over time) without
the need for the FA to sanction it.
Playing names however are sacrosanct and need to be ratified by the FA.

So while he says the name has changed already he is correct if he talks only of the entity name but the team/playing hasn't been changed and
cannot without the FA say so.

I'm not sure if he's deliberately confusing the issue or doesn't know the difference.

I need a lie down.....

Option B.

Well, seeing that he has already changed the company name, why would he want to change it again in the New Year? It looks pretty obvious that it is the club name that he wants to change as he finds the name "CITY" common and vulgar. Tell that to Manchester City!!!

Did he actually say vulgar? Thought he just said "common".

I'm assuming that someone has pointed out to him by now, that all nonsense he spouted in the interviews yesterday were wrong and the FA have come out and said we're Hull City, we've never been Hull City Tigers and until he applies to change, we never will be.

He also can't register Hull Tigers Limited, as someone has done it already to prevent him(the kid in the Cardiff campaign group, who also supports our campaign).

good lad. i see someone has registered hull tigers football club limited too.

I may have skipped a page, or 29, but if AA is getting confused thinking hes already changed the name when the FA confirm he hasn't, shouldn't we just all shut up since he thinks its done when its not?

Just a thought.

Well, he's right but his point is also irrelevant.

The fact is that is our name and has been for over 100 years. A lot of history and culture is wrapped up in that name with our fathers and our fathers fathers.

THAT is the point.

Indeed, and by common he meant there were many clubs using the name City, not that it was "vulgar". He was, I think, trying to differentiate between groups of fans chanting come on City, who could be Coventry, Manchester, Leicester etc. He may not have made his point very well (how well do you express yourself in Arabic?), but I don't think he was being insulting.

To many people on here are damning him for things he hasn't said.

We should all (including AA) take a step back and calm down and try and compromise.

so i wondered about the www.hullcitytigers.com address on the twitter header. it redirects to the ows. registered on the 5th.

Hullcitytigers.com registered 2001.

Just standard company procedure to take any domain names similar to there's. they all probably redirect to the ows.

He was far more damning at the meeting, he said City was a rubbish name and that while being called Hull City we'd been a rubbish team for 107 years. That was his only reference to our last PL jaunt, he kept talking about his reign in an odd way, as if we really didn't exist before he arrived.

Think that's just for the e-mail domain @hulltigers.com which has been in use since around then.

Companies very often take all domain names someone might associate with them, sometimes even including different typo possibilities. I'd suggest that's what it is.

If he really wanted world domination he shouldn't use ANY words, just a logo. McDonald's, Apple, Nike.... as soon as you see their logo you know who they are. It would make it more interesting when the scores are being read out on the radio.

But they do have the domain @hulltigers.com for their e-mail servers so that's what it is...

I'm sure I read on Twitter today that someone has Registered Hull Tigers Fc with the Hull and East Riding County FA....
