Well if that's the case then surely it should be down to Ehab to step out of the shadows and offer some clarification, surely he can't be enjoying the pressure that's being piled onto his father!
HDM's Phil Buckingham tweeted yesterday that the FA confirmed the following are registered: Entity (company) name: Hull City Tigers Ltd Playing name : Hull City Which is why I have a niggle in the back of my mind. AA keeps saying he wants to SHORTEN the name so he must be referring to the entity name when he states this. An entity name of Hull Tigers Ltd with a playing name of Hull City would be acceptable. ??
Wouldn't it be funny if this was what he was referring to - has anyone actually asked this question of him?
Well of course it would, nobody gives 2 ****s about that, but I really do think you're grasping at straws. He couldnt possibly be that stupid, could he....?
From what I heard in the interviews, no-one has been able to get past his furious blustering (that anyone should question his ability to do what he wants) and pin him down to any sort of clarification. Still, it might be an idea. Bags you ask him.......
Well, not particularly funny after the **** storm that it's all kicked up, but this is what I think he is referring to, I think it is the entity name that he's constantly referring to and NOT the team name!
Well, seeing that he has already changed the company name, why would he want to change it again in the New Year? It looks pretty obvious that it is the club name that he wants to change as he finds the name "CITY" common and vulgar. Tell that to Manchester City!!!
I don't understand why there is a stepping stone in changing the name. It's obvious that he wants us to be called Hull Tigers eventually and it doesn't look like that's going to change. So why change the name twice?
AA knows perfectly well he can change the company name to anything he likes and nobody can do anything about it, he's already done it many months ago. He's quite plainly talking about the playing name, which he already thinks is Hull City Tigers(due to him changing the company name to Hull City Tigers Ltd), the old duffer doesn't realise that the playing name needs to be changed separately and hasn't yet been changed at all.
OK, so in the new year he changes the company name to Hull Tigers Ltd thinking that also changes the playing name by default. If we all keep quiet about it, the playing name will remain Hull City and AA will be none the wiser. Could be a new tactic, (if only!).
I'm assuming that someone has pointed out to him by now, that all nonsense he spouted in the interviews yesterday were wrong and the FA have come out and said we're Hull City, we've never been Hull City Tigers and until he applies to change, we never will be. He also can't register Hull Tigers Limited, as someone has done it already to prevent him(the kid in the Cardiff campaign group, who also supports our campaign).
The short name league table... Fulham Arsenal Chelsea Everton Hull City Liverpool Stoke City Aston Villa Sunderland Cardiff City Norwich City Southampton Swansea City Crystal Palace West Ham United Manchester City Newcastle United Manchester United Tottenham Hotspur West Bromwich Albion
From Phil Buckingham's interview:- "To clarify, the club’s name is Hull City Tigers but the team play under Hull City AFC currently? No, I don’t know where you get this from. The name with Companies House and the FA is Hull City Tigers". A law unto himself!!
Now there's a thought. How much does it cost to register a company. We could all pick a different name to stop him picking HUll Tigers. We could have the following: Tigers limited Hull Tigers Ltd Hull Tigers Roar Ltd Tigers tigers burning bright Ltd Tigers Hull Ltd Hull Allam marine Tigers Ltd Hull i have coughed up £75m of my money and I will have Tigers in the name I think that is short enough Ltd The list is endless Basically, anything that does not have city in it and has Tigers in it. that will **** up his plans. It was cringeworthy listening to him last night. I meet and talked to him at 11pm (I had had a few sherbets) on the night of the promotion (4th may) and he came across as a very humble man. Last night he came across as a sulking teenager who was not prepared to listen to anything Amanda (whatever her name is) had to say.
Allam is correct on this point, well selectively correct anyway. Company name registered at Companies House is Hull City Tigers Ltd. Entity name registered at FA is Hull City Tigers Ltd (which was changed in March this year) Playing/team name whatever you wish to call it is registered at the FA as Hull City AA can change the entity name as he sees fit (in fact I'd bet most clubs entity names have been changed regularly over time) without the need for the FA to sanction it. Playing names however are sacrosanct and need to be ratified by the FA. So while he says the name has changed already he is correct if he talks only of the entity name but the team/playing hasn't been changed and cannot without the FA say so. I'm not sure if he's deliberately confusing the issue or doesn't know the difference. I need a lie down.....
