The writer isn't from Roker Report. It's a guest article from a good lad who started ITHICS in the 90's. But if you'd rather judge the URL than the content go for it.
That is very fair but RR putting out content like that goes against everything else they have been putting out over the last few weeks. It was a good article and I agree with it.
I believe that any time anyone puts s hite on here ( usually 1of 4 ) ask them to put the proof on or f uck off, there’s a lot of lads on here sick of listening to there negative s hite and then act as though they can’t remember doing it once it’s blown over.
I guarantee if we checked the same people bitching about BCB would have been the ones who did same about ownership, previous ownership, a succession of managers, a succession of players. It’s always the same names and the same ‘type’. I don’t know if it’s an element of the club is ‘all they have’ in life or what, but the spouting of misinformation is welcomed and even revelled in by many as it give them a scarcely needed excuse to shout out ‘in love of the club’. It’s gone on at levels for years. Anton was slated by many as a ‘fancy southern ****er’, I knew the lad personally as he lived in same building as me for a while and he was the most down to earth and sound kid you could imagine. Richardson, Kenwyne and Sessegnon were slated despite being absolute levels above most of the players we had or had before or since. Kit deals slated, sponsors slated, managerial appointments slated before they arrive at AOL, a ticketing change that all clubs and indeed all businesses are moving to turned into ‘club doesn’t give a **** about us’. ‘The club/owner are skint’ because they are being financially savvy. Players better than ours ‘not good enough’ players we have boo’d onto the park. Fanzines going against the overwhelming majority and professing to be ‘our voice’. I don’t think it goes on at any other club. I genuinely don’t. The biggest damage you can do to anything, in any walk of life, is from the inside.
I like many on here didn't want beale but no way can you say that, we have to give him a chance and in the games he's been here has done better that the first few games mowbray had. Let's wait and see eh
Only thing I can't agree with in that RR article is selling Wyke, didn't sell him did we? Iirc his contract finished we offered him a deal on similar but Wigan offered him loads more, the club weren't that bothered as Stewart was seen as an upgrade!
Yep that's all we can do, mowbray got plaudits for reaching the play offs will you give beale the same if he does
Absolutely. We’re in 6th place now but once again there’s so many teams going for it. It’s gonna be tough.
I know man and if you’re satisfied overall or even rational you’re a happy clapper. They’ve made some balls ups but overall the club is in good hands. I don’t want KLD out. I’m buzzing we have a forward thinking approach at last: Not perfect but all can be sorted.
Absolutely fkn ridiculously sensible my fine fellow. Well said and lets hope we ALL do get behind the team and the owners. I still think we can get promotion and its much more fun doing it via Wembley.
I don't think they need to keep their trap shut but maybe use a bit of thought and reason of their own and do a little bit of research if needed to enable them to come to their own conclusions or opinions from a more balanced and educated point of view. Or they could just knee jerk write whatever **** drops into their head from totally unknown sources and tell all of us how ****e the club are for changing the pie supplier (seen that earlier) ha ha
Isn't it daft that winning the league 30 points ahead is less fun and less profitable than scraping up via 6th place
Don’t think it’s wise to point out something someone’s said differently a few posts back, you’ll get told you are stalking him and he blocks you.
I assume ALS are the same as that canny little magazine I would buy on my way to Roker Park? Used to like that. Me and my two brothers used to buy one between us. I do no other social media other than this place. I am not on twitter, facebook, or any other shyte. I dont know what OTR is like, never been on. It takes me all my time to keep up with this place. Are we attacking ourselves? Probably not for me. Gets a bit heated and extreme at times but I reckon it is mostly because people care. If it has any impact on a Billionaire owner with a clear idea of how he thinks he wants to run the club he is probably in the wrong job. When you are a top man, in a high profile gig, you need to handle criticism. Sure he can.
You seem to be completely ignoring the footballing side strange as this is the reason the club exists I will base my decisions on how the club is run on the pitch It’s being run better than I have known it in my 50 plus years of watching the lads. A progressive regime that has completely turned the club around from potential administration commercially they need to up their game but I’m sure that will come
If players posted what they really believed O'Nien would've said. 'FFS, what a fkn nightmare that was! Ekwah looked like a nine year old seeing his first fanny and Hume played like Ireland's national fruit, a fkn potato. WTF was Jack Clarke on, it's normally amphetamines but today it was more like fkn sleeping tablets!!!
