To some golf sounds quite boring but to some once they have played they are hooked.
I certainly would be out golfing as much as i could if i was a pro footballer earning a good salary.
Im already out as much as i can even on a ****e wage....when the boss lets me :emoticon-0106-cryin

Thats nice.

Nah not for me.

Reet now that has the otters attention, all hoping fir a bloodied anus pics.

AJ is just an example for yet another totally random and ****e thread.

Firstly the boring as **** bit.

Football players. How are they paid i.e weekly, monthly.?

What rate of rax do they pay, and does it have to be paid into a UK account.

Sponsorship deals, are they also accountable under the same terms, or is there a lot of dodgy deals going in?

Reet enough if that ****e.

AJ (just for example) 60k A WEEK. Even after taxes etc. Say 30k a week spending money.

What do you do?

You have your nice house, nice cars etc. Now whar?

You cant just **** iff in holiday as you still have to train, work each day.

Save, invest. Invest in what?

30k a week spare money. Lets spend it in whar?
Only PAYE pay there taxes
The rest seem to be able to hide there money or have a good accountant
Or say they only live on £200 a week or summit like that .

Interested to find out:

If somebody earns £2m salary per year, forget about bonuses for now, what percentage of tax do you think they should pay and why?

In my opinion, 20% is sufficient, it is more than enough to take £400,000 from the guy's salary per year to give to other people.

I think 25% would be plenty for big earners. %20 for everyone else.
Don't know why the big earners should pay more tax though, maybe because they can afford more?

When you put it like that. Aye guess you are right.

reckon they'll get paid monthly despite wages being quoted as weekly. every time a club fails to pay their players it's said that it's a months worth of wages.

after saving the first few years wages to make sure i'd not want in future, i'd start buying film memorabilia, complete my vader and stormtrooper outfits for starters then crack on with the rest, maybe even get the equipment to make my own, learn some languages, become my own agent, design and build my own properties (or is that because that's what i currently do?), make sure immediate families had no mortgages. after that. who knows?

That's the only reason, they have more therefore they should give more.
When does society stop being about working hard to achieve and start being about charity?

Pretty much sums it up, either way I'm not that bothered as it doesn't have any effect on me.
Just thought 25% is a fair amount on what the high end earners earn instead of 40% or whatever it is.
Suppose if we all paid 20% it might encourage the high earners to pay their taxes rather than filter it away discreetly, i know that doesn't apply to all.
All for charity, so long as it goes to charity as opposed to i the pockets of the people running the charity.

If they've family. they should remember all the men who complain about missing seeing kids grow because of their work hours and be grateful of the opportunity to spend quality family time. On their own, why not languages, handy if you reckon you're good enough for Madrid or Milan. Moneywise, think I'd like to put money (as well as youngsters and local football) but into local general sports clubs to encourage exercise and giving kids an interest away from hanging round the streets or depending on the social media lifestyle

That's one argument, the 20% bracket, some will argue that they'll still never pay it, it's easier to blame the rich people who actually make something of themselves than blaming bums, people who borrow what they can't afford to pay back, the country is full of people who don't contribute anything to the nation.

Cut your cloth to suit i say. If you cant afford it you cant have it.
Might be harsh here but if you are on social or benefits you shouldn't have a credit card to rack up debt.....waiting for backlash now.

This country should be bringing it's credit scoring facilities into the 21st century, we should be carrying everything we need to achieve even a mortgage in our finger prints. I know Diddles and maybe a few others will disagree with this, but for me, why have some dated methods, full of loop holes where banks are lending money to folk who have no means of paying it back?

My place of work about 10 years ago was Fraud detection intel, a guy 'Mohammed' had over 50 credit cards at about 20 addresses under many different names, how? We were stumped, we only figured he had somebody on the inside, but it's that simple, he didn't live at any of the addresses. He was drawing cash off all the cards.

If you're obtaining credit from your finger prints, electronically, it's game over for ALL of that identity fraud stuff.
