Out of interest mate, what do you expect to happen when the 'inevitable' happens?

How does the world look in this scenario?

To me it's happening now - the agenda is and always has been for the rich and powerful to get even more so ... just look around you- indeed in this country with the sick, invalid and poor that are getting screwed over and not just with social benefits, its also with their health, lack of housing, lack of food, substandard education, so when the day comes that they cannot afford to pay for their health or routine doctor visits because the NHS has been sold off to banks, corporations, and business conglomerates, who will stand up and say look after these poor people?

Then It'll be too late.

You may say that it's natural selection or survival of the fittest etc - but when we do make a stand against these immoral dealings and laws - that then makes it all acceptable in society - so when the ruling elite and bankers eventually decide to target the wealth of the middle classes - who will stand up for them? and so on next in line it will be the what would we call rich or well off ...albeit their millions in the bank is chicken feed but the super elite they'll will want that too.

The agenda for the elite is to have it all! it's their mindset, why would someone want more who has multi billions? Greed and materialism is a powerful incentive.

You're married, your doing well in life? you may want to have children ? Do you want them to live in a selfish or selfless society? There is enough resources in this world for everyone the technology is there to make it good for all - But greed and avarice that is growing exponentially in society I fear will make it all a 'poor' way to live.

this is my argument for not having kids. who would want to bring a child into this world where every person regardless of race or religion is essentially a slave?
you want to survive and have a decent standard of life? you gotta pay for that and to earn money you have to work: 21st century slavery.

Interesting mate, the second paragraph you got a bit ahead of yourself, went a bit extreme but the plausible bit is the first part for me. Natural selection does come into it for me, you know me well, but I have also got an empathetic side but my empathy kicks in when people are denied opportunity, rather than people who have failed themselves.

I'm not suggesting every poor person in this country is on the bones of their arses because they don't try, but there's no way for me to distinguish, so if I was to offer sympathy and change my mind set about these folks, I'd have to fundamentally accept that I'm accepting of these folk who just do not try, those who choose the path of least resistance all the way through life.

People around the world don't have opportunity, they're human beings too, born without the chance to make anything of themselves.

I just keep getting told that people are getting poorer and poorer, when I was a kid, nobody had anything, we were all poor on my street, now you go on a 'poor street' and you'll see kids in £100 Nike Air, BMW's parked up, for me there's more to it than believing the Government are out to squeeze the nation dry and let us all eat cabbages.

Not exactly sure how to take that!! So basically, if you work for a living, you're a slave? Strange way to look at things!!

I'm putting my notice in at work today because of what ZLATAN said! I am nobody's slave.....

My nresignation letter will be worded:

Becasue I am not your slave, I hereby give my one months notice. I expect to e fully compensated with my redundancy payoff as slavery is illegal and, if I am compensated, I will not sue...

oh dear what have i done? Reparations for all slaves!!

i don't know what's worse; being ignorant of the fact you're a slave or not being able to stop being a slave.

You must log in or register to see media

Your inference doesn't really fit with the definition of slavery though mate, many of us decide where and who we work for, many of us work for ourselves, many of us have luxury holidays and spend more time playing than working... it's really all about bringing your kids into a world, where you must teach them to seize opportunity, provide them the best platform to achieve that and do your best to keep them healthy.
