Shame that the flag issue, like everything else, has descended into a farse. Dutch and Mauled are trying to do something good, something positive. Not confrontational or devisive but inclusive and genuine. Shame the some are trying to derail it. Petty point scoring. Grow up.
Eh? How on earth is that dismissive or defensive? I've tried to answer the point raised. I see that as preferable to posting some pithy comment and a smiley head.
I can't work out why seeing Hull City fans showing a united support for Hull City players in Hull City's ground seems to worry them. Perhaps it's part of the reason so many people insisted the banner be kept clean of the politics.
It's not stroppy at all. It's a simple reply stating the facts of the situation to try to answer the concerns you raised.
It's easy to see why this happens. Predictable really. I'm sure you know why people don't want it to work out.
Absolutely spot on, this is what this was about, a one-off show of support when Bruce was under the cosh of injuries. It was you who took it further, gaining support was inevitable, we all know that. The nonsense about disrespect to other Hull City supporters is laughable; I am sure that those who disagree with me will take my comments with a pinch of salt - at least I am sincere in what I say.
Oh I can guess. I think there's different reasons from different posters. It's all straightforward for me. Some fans want to show appreciation to the players. That's all there is to the flags, no more, no less. Still, despite all of that and with current announcements, people have approached me away from the board with offers of donations, and the collection is once again better than I expected. Well done to all.
I forget, Charle1, are you in favour of changing the name of the club and the style of Allam's strategy in doing it? Do you consider the actions of the owner as 'petty point scoring', is is that just reserved for folk who oppose his views and methods?
Oh Happy. I am trying to get a banner put up that only I want and remove the one many on the forum wanted agreed to and paid for, If thats how you see it then your views are so entrenched and wrong no matter what i say you will disagree with me. Dutch has said many times the club has no problem with a banner saying Hull City, I don't believe that and want to show otherwise. To that end I made my offer. If WE ARE HULL CITY can by some be seen as a protest sign I am more than willing to compromise as long as it says HULL CITY. After reading other posts this morning it may be best to get something in writing from the club before paying, it looks like promises from the club mean nothing and much worse when they get other people to speak on their behalf. Only one more little thing
Is saying 'City Till We Die' or 'We Are Hull City' political, or is the political element when someone labels one of those statements as being a protest statement?
I know that on my own behalf I certainly want it to work out, which is why I donated to the original banner, I would also love for the follow-up project to be successful, but I would prefer it to be actioned when the name-change is resolved. I think anyone can see that some form of conflict of opinion in this is inevitable, depending on your viewpoint. Despite the lick-spittle reasons offered, we all know that Hull City AFC is being avoided by this project to dodge the inevitable rebuttal from the club.
It's all about intent. This is a pure protest from Balkan. Actually, it's a virtual protest because he'll never see it through, it's classic keyboard warrior stuff in fact. He's asking "what IF I paid for a Hull City AFC banner eh? Can it replace the In Bruce we Trust one? Can it? No? OMFGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG THIS IS TYPICAL OF THE CLUB!!!!111!!!1!" Bluff has been called though, if he wants to get his own banner, nowt to stop him, Dutch can point him in the right direction, and he can arrange for it to be made, and arrange with James to try and find somewhere suitable. He won't though, because he's just being angry about something online. Why don't you chip in? He might appreciate the help. Regarding being the stupidest ****, Im way out of your league for ****ery, you surpass even the worst on here and CI.
So stop ****ing bleating on about it, you got your attention, well done. Just do it. Contact Mauled, get one made, contact James, find somewhere to put it. It's really that simple. Unless you're just making noise on the internet.
Why do you need to know what an individual thinks of that situation? Is it because then you can then negate their views on everything else based on what they think about one area? This is about flags showing support for the team Hull City. If anyone chooses to make it about something else and their own personal agendas is up to them. But by trying to derail something positive at a time when positivity, dialogue and building bridges is needed then that is a sad state of affairs.
I think it's fairly obvious. I think you know it's fairly obvious. I think a lot of people know it's fairly obvious. I think we both know a lot of people know its fairly obvious.
