He’s really impressed too by all accounts. Sounds like he might have played himself into contention, at least for a place on the bench.

Though it would seem strange going for another left sided CB with Doyle looking capable and Xhemajli due back in a couple of months.
Goode fits the profile we need exactly alongside Doyle in my opinion. Right sided, capable on the ball, a talker and in particular dominant in the air. Whilst I don’t think it will be him I suspect it will be someone in a similar mould.
I don’t expect him to give names but has @Prehab26 given any indication as to whether he thinks they’re good players we’re close to getting in?

Yeh nobody should be disheartened by him saying we are way off his valuation. He’s hardly going to say we are close. The fact he’s publicly acknowledging it is progress
