Then it will be end of Nov... and so on
If you know it's not the end of November you must know something ...
... or are you just making it up as you go along?

That moment I think was when Big Sam ended the season with us. Great things were expected for the forthcoming season!! All hindsight, I know but had he not have gone we'd be in a different place today!
Agreed. We've gone from fans expected back in October, with an indemnity in case it didn't happen, to a situation where we know there's no fans for the foreseeable, maybe up until March. On top of that there's cases rising, local lockdowns, maybe even another full lockdown if they can't get it under control and the very real possibility of a lot of clubs going bust without a bailout. If I was a buyer I'd be sitting tight for now, especially if I was in the driving seat due to a loan, there's no need to rush it.
I see the national league is expecting to get a bail out shortly. Once something is confirmed for our league that means clubs will definitely finish the season, I would expect (if there's anything in all the takeover talk) for it to then go through swiftly because, that aside, there can't be much left to discuss

I think, looking back on it,that was the pivotal moment for me. After everything that had gone before, when we managed to survive that season,I was thinking things could really improve. Sam looked like he'd got hold of players like Kone and could get the best out of them.
I don't think I'd feel so bad about it if he'd gone on to have a successful career with England, winning a competition or two. But the way that went,I feel it's such a loss for us,for no reason. There were no winners from that episode.

It's my believe that Allardyce will be back and would've been if the takeover hadn't faltered.
I still think Allardyce was showing signs of dissatisfaction before England came in. By that point the purse strings were being tightened, Short wasn't likely to sanction much and I don't think Sam was going to stick around with that being the case. We'll never know mind, but I think it was ****ed well before that ; probably when the very good Bruce team started getting dismantled (bent and Gyan going, bringing in relative plodders like Vaughan and even Larsson). That really started the rot imo and, although we put some plasters on it, we were always struggling to get it right afterwards
Totally agree about Allardyce. Think he'd have gone anyway.I still think Allardyce was showing signs of dissatisfaction before England came in. Which will only continue if there's no long term plan
Absolutely right mate. People moan that our academy doesn’t produce much but premier league scouts were always at our youth games pre COVID-19. The lads coming through the academy are certainly good enough it’s ensuring they get the help and support to find a pathway to the first team.Sad reading for our club as it is, they are just short term financing the club with some of the countries best young talent

Is that based on something you heard? It's my believe that Allardyce will be back and would've been if the takeover hadn't faltered.

I would love that. It would be like moving from black and white to technicolor.

Ah mate that would have been class man.
Getting ahead of myself here but if that could be resurrected we should be looked at getting a succession plan in place right from the start with him mentoring the new fella over the first couple of years with a gradual transition with BSA heading upstairs to DOF and his apprentice taking over day to day.
Beats the living daylights out of watching the absolute dross we have been watching since BSA left.
He can be an awkward, arrogant git and has a reputation for being non PC and a bit shady but he was exactly what we needed in the Premier League and I’d back him to build the teams that we would need to get us out of this League and Championship in short order.
BHH.
