"He hasn't played or trained at the level we will need him to be - do you know something different? The time we have to get him anywhere near the shape he would need to be in" Join the ****ing dots
And you're not an expert. I'm all for posting opinions. But when they are just complete and utter ****ing ****e - I'll say so.
Fez is right though. Even one of the poorest mls teams turned him down. He is not at the level we need, a few years ago he would have been ideal. Now he is so injury plagued that his sharpness is way below what is needed.
I sort of agree with that, but heart? Proschwitz and Hernandez managed to hide it pretty well. I know Davies has become a bit of a scapegoat lately, I think it's a unfair but more importantly if he goes, that's another position that needs strengthening. We can't just have four centre halves for a 46-game season when we play 3 at a time. We already need about 7 or 8 signings to fill in all the gaps, and we're unlikely to get that many. If anyone leaves now, it needs to be Hernandez and N'Doye. Anyone else will leave a gap we can't fill.
Then start proving it with some sense instead of picking pointless, poorly based argument. The man is way below anything he ever had and to even hope to get him anywhere near the level we would require would take a serious amount of time with no guarantee he would get there. You're beginning to sound like a fool, stop, there's stop time. Or, perhaps, you were also thinking of his brother.
Anthony Stokes is a transfer target for us. God help us. Leeds, Bolton and Wigan also want him. He is available for about 1.5 million. Relegation battle here we come.
'His legs have gone' if that isn't the finest example of a blasé poorly based argument, then I don't know what is. How do people who have never run before train sufficiently to compete in marathons, iron man events etc etc. I'll use my sister as an example - 35 - never run, ever. Until she started at the turn of the year, January 2015 for avoidance of doubt, to raise money for charity following our Mothers death in Agust 2014. She has now completed a 10k in a decent time of just over one hour, not bad for someone who had never run, who had clearly lost her legs as she'd never used them (Partly down to an anterior cruciate Ski injury when she was a teenager) a tough Mudder and she has her first half marathon in October - by your standards legs gone? I have a mate from Uni that used to smoke about 40 a day - he quit just after his 40th Birthday and threw himself into cycling/running/swimming and he has now completed several ironman races across Europe and the Berlin Marathon and London Marathon in circa 4 hours - more examples of legs gone. I could go on, but I won't. I'll leave it to the football experts at the club to decide if he's worth a contract, not some numpty on a message board who is condemning a man based on nothing but his delusional opinion. I actually thought you were better than that and I'm quite disappointed to be honest. "You're beginning to sound like a fool, stop, there's stop time. Or, perhaps, you were also thinking of his brother." - I'll assume you're talking about yourself here.
Apparently us and Burnley are looking at Haris Vuckic - Released by Newcastle. Spent last season on loan at Glasgow Rangers scoring 9 in 17 games. He's a midfielder.
No, and you go on to prove my point. All of that wonderfully inspiring nonsense is great if you have time to work on it and that is the whole point I have made; his legs are gone (you know, the legs of a strong professional football midfielder) and we, between now and the first week of August, do not have the luxury of time to put that right as we are already carrying crocked midfielders. This ain't rocket science, stop looking for an argument and find some basic reasoning instead. Wilson (not Johnny) is simply not fit for our purpose. By the way, I've left it to the so-called football experts before and they didn't impress too much, so until they sort themselves out I'll rely on my own judgement when discussing it on here - if that's okay with you.
He is league one at best. Love how our targets have gone from upper tier championship players with potential to do okay in the premier league to has beens and league one standard players.
