When the team is good, it is because of the players, when the team is bad it is the manager's fault - you are a typical armchair fan.

Why would we turn on him - he's gone so what it the point?

We don't have rabid tribalism here - I for one would shake his hand and buy him a pint if I ever see him.
...me too .. although I might stop short of inviting him to join me for a Thai ... :)

My lad just got the prices off SkyBet, currently:

Dyche 4/1
Allardyce 5/1
O'Neil 5/1
Lennon 8/1
Cambiasso 10/1
DiMatteo 10/1
Klopp 12/1
At least Dowie isn't there! O'Neil is a no, Dyche probably will stay at Burnley, wouldn't want Big Sam so probably Klopp or Lennon though. Hope Cambiasso stays in some capacity though

Believe it or not, the bookies currently have Klopp as 6th favourite.

The names you mentioned at the bottom of your post is the reason for my rant. I can't think of anyone available purely off the top of my head who Id want instead
I hear ya fella but regardless, the owners wont have made this decision lightly. It seems their hands were tied and Pearson was a naughty boy probably sticking up for his twat of a son. oh well onwards and upwards!

James has a lot to answer for. I think a feeling they were making signings about him like Ozaki too. Just disappointing to lose a guy who's served us so well. We'll probably end up with some big name who Leicester means nothing to and it's just about the pay check

Shocking news.

However, even if we was winning the premier league year in year out, if your working relationship breaks down then sadly it has got to change. Without any of us knowing, i imagine that his son had a large part to play in this - we know Pearson is a very loyal character and that all starts with family.

I wish him all the best and to me is an absolute cult hero of this football club. Remember he took over a sinking ship in league 1 and now look at us. They way he got that team playing at the end is better than anyone else could have.

My worry is could another manager get the same out of players such as Vardy?

I've got my tin hat on but I for one am not sad to see him go.
Hiddink has resigned a Dutch manager so wouldn't be overly surprised if he was appointed.

We often played well though, just didnt quite make it. However, we found our golden touch and it feels like 4 steps back after 5 ones forward.

Christ on a bike, never saw that one coming.

Can't help but think after the last couple of seasons you've had this is a big, big set back for your club.

Ah well...........<diva>

Lost respect for the owners after seeing this. We finally had stability and w'rennow going backwards again. Favourites for relegation again it is
I have a couple of theories on this.

Pearson backed into a corner defending his son - Pearson and sons fault

My worrying theory is if they tried to push Okozaki (or whatever his name is) into the squad regardless of ability and (knowing Pearson) he outright refused - owners fault.

I agree that this will put us back into a relegation battle because any momentum the team had heading into the new season may dwindle now.

I think our owners felt they had to act to preserve their reputation in their own land. It has nothing to do with football, in fact it will put us into reverse - unless we are fortunate to get one of the ridiculously high profile names already been bandied about. Dyche, Alladyce or Lennon will get us nowhere.

Sam A Lard Arse would play boring hoofball but would keep you up. I would be worried if I were a Leicester fan and one of the other two were appointed
