I haven't proved if man landed on the moon or not and that's probably more relevant to the commission.
I do believe there is a set criteria when it comes reaching a decision and consultation of residents is one. Just as it should be.
How utterly irrelevant. Wouldn't you have been better asking me how I would've voted as a resident of the ER? No it isn't. Local people, who contribute most to the local council's tax take, via their Council Tax, should get perks for this. No there wouldn't. Are you saying people would stop visiting our fine museums? What complete tosh. Congratulations. I'm 49 years old on Sunday and you've just asked one of the daftest questions anyone has ever asked me during that time.
In all probability, IF the boundary's an issue, the recent ballot asks the wrong questions and is meaningless.
This was the question: "should the boundaries of Hull be extended to include Anlaby with Anlaby Common, Bilton, Cottingham, Elloughton cum Brough, Hedon, Hessle, Kirk Ella, North Ferriby, Preston, Swanland, Welton and Willerby?" It's a simple question, and 96% said No. Why do you think you know better than all the people in the East Riding? The National Boundary Commission will take this into consideration when making a decision.
I didn't want to say this, but seeing as you've broached it, I would say I've seen more poor teaching in ER schools than in Hull schools. Don't even get me started on the resourcing and infrastructure...
Do HCC want to extend the boundaries? I might be missing something here but where did this idea actually come from?
Yes, I have. HCC want to extend their boundaries and the National Boundary Commission will make a decision. The opinions of people living in the East Riding will be taken into consideration. Have you read the link?
It's probably a reflection of the fact that he isn't tainted by the snobbery that exists in many ER residents.
There are far worse, I can assure you. If you think those two are "awful" then you can't have been in many schools recently
It's ironic because he thinks he knows best for the people of the East Riding. He also thinks the people of the East Riding aren't intelligent enough to understand a question in a referendum. Some people in the East Riding are snobs who dislike Hull, but the only person on here behaving like a snob is DMD.
