The nimby's have been out in force in E.Yorkshire looking at the vote results today.

Maybe HCC should start charging folks who have a HU postcode that is outside the HCC boundary for visits to the museum quarter etc, after all they don't want to be part of Hull so why should they receive the Benifits of being from Hull.

It's a vote for idiots, as it has no meaning at all.

The proposals aren't really for a boundary change, and even if they were, neither Council could initiate one. It'd be the Secretary of State and they'd get the boundary commision to look into the issue to see what's best for the region.

It was a waste of ERYC ratepayers time and money.

What a stupid view.

I won't argue that point but a large proportion of E.Yorkshire have just given the finger to Hull even though a large amount will work/play in Hull.
Maybe HCC should give them the finger back and make them pay for stuff they don't contribute too!

I was a bit worried that they had taken the surprise out of the Kinder eggs. Glad it just about the boundary debate. Phew.

Good for them for voting No. Hull City Council is a bag of **** and any expansion would spread its ****ness to other parts of the East Riding.

I've never read so much ****e in my life.

They've voted, what does the outcome have to do with using services in Hull. It's an simplistic opinion that is irrelevant to the issue.
Who's opinion are you referring to. YOURS. or The Voters.?
A simplistic opinion that is irrelavant to the issue. Who's opinion? What Issue?

Total crap, you think the East Riding Council is any better? A lot of the flooding in the East Riding in 2007 was caused by the gulley drains being blocked by leaves due to them never been cleaned by the council, don't get me wrong Hull council where equally responsible for this oversite. The difference is Hull Council now regularly clean their gulley sinks whereas East Riding?? Well I have seen the ones near me cleaned once since 2007 and every time it rains heavily you can guarantee at least 1" of water on the road. That is just one of the better services Hull City council provide and I'm paying £100 more in Council Tax for the privilige of having a parish council. I am proud to say I voted yes in totally unnecassary referrendum.

Why the f** would the people of East Riding want these w**kers? I don't, and I'd vote in a referendum to be a part of ERYC.

If you actually kept abreast of local news you might actually find that most of Hull's schools are as good as if not better than East Ridings. Hull Council is also NOT closing Primary Schools down thereby increasing the school bus costs to the taxpayer
