Can't speak for anyone else, but I sing it out of principle. I will always try and sing it, because of the fact that our owner would still change our name if he could.
We don't persist in singing anything, Hull City fans decide what they chant, we can't control what 20,000 people do in a football stadium. The reality is that thousands of people are still very upset that AA persists with this pointless nonsense and they're simply not willing to stop until he does.
So the booers are in the right and singing a traditional City song is wrong. These people really are a disgrace.
Isn't it just absurd that they can't see this? There really are some utterly monumental differences between the way people view football.
Have you ever been to a football stadium when theres a game on ? Stop singing this, get them to sing that, it not a ****ing school choir were talking about here.
If this forum is a microcosm of fan division at City right now, it's a sad state of affairs. The only reason I can see for booing at 19:04 is a perceived fear that opposing the name change will frighten off the Allams and risk the PL status of the club. This silent majority is in the placating business and they are far from constructive. So, certain "supporters" (let's make that "customers") would happily give an owner carte blanche to do as he likes? You know the Barbarians never take a city without someone opening the gates from the inside for them to enter? Assem Allam could stop all this now by admitting defeat but he's too obstinate to do so

But isn't that what you are trying to do with the statement from CTWD about people booing ?
It doesn't actually matter. Some people singing it - like myself - will still view it as a protest, while others won't. You lot seem more intent on addressing perceived problems around the response to Mr Allam's madness, rather than the madness itself. I simply can't understand where you're coming from.
Are you saying you're pleased to witness some people booing City fans for supporting the Club? There's quite a lot of ridiculous elements to this, including strov's position, but the chant was well on the way to fading out, but the few boo boys look to have given it new meaning.
A lot of back slapping and mutual appreciation going on here. Almost to the point of w**king each other off. Fact is booing, unless aimed at the opposition is plain wrong. What if CTWD booed at the booers who had booed them? What if the away fans then started booing the CTWD lot for booing the booers thinking they were booing their own team. The pro AA lot then start booing the away fans for booing the CTWD lot who were actually booing them in the first place. It could go on for 70 minutes and 56 seconds, plus stoppage time. On the other hand for some cretinous c**t to make an analogy about AA's contribution to our club being akin to someone raping your kids and for it to be allowed by the mods is beyond the pale. Show any neutral, level headed, decent person a piece of paper which details AA's plans for a name change and I dare say you'll get a fairly indifferent response. Show that same person X's disgraceful post about children being raped and I dare say you'll get a wholly different response. Whilst silly bastards like X are aligning themselves to CTWD and are posting such offensive drivel and it being deemed as acceptable, no one apart from me challenged it after all, then CTWD will lose support from rational, reasonable fans. No doubt Polly will dislike this post.
So you think posting stuff about child rape is fair game? Thought more of you than that to be honest.
Missed that post. Sounds ridiculous though. Not if they're a level headed, decent person who understands what it should mean to support a football club. Can't disagree there. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. Why does it even matter to you? You're yet another person for whom the actions of some people associated with the CTWD group seems more important than some of the absurd behaviour demonstrated by our owner.
No I don't. Hope this satisfies. Try focusing on the matter in hand, rather than the responses of a few people aligned to the CTWD campaign.
