It's a twist on a joke theme used for several years on CI, where posters in dispute would 'threaten' to meet in Queens Car Park. When it was used on here, someone thought Queens was too common and suggested Linnet as bizarrely they thought it was more upmarket.

I don't recall who started it on there, but Polly has been one of the main users over the years, and brought it onto not606.

Polly actually became pollysbodyparts, on account of him being chopped up and having his body parts buried in various places in Queens car park, allegedly.

Quite some time ago a thread descended into chaos where I found myself having a ding dong with our then resident WUM, namely Doveston.

It resulted in Doveston and I arranging to meet for a square go in Linnet car park.


It was a drunken embarrassment of a thread, it happens, and I apologised for being a dick the next day.

The thread was deleted by OLM, rightly so, but it has made its way into Not 606 folklore.


For the record Dovers and I are best mates now.

I've not commented on Carmine's story. Like OLM, I was more pointing out where the term originated. It's hardly a big deal either way.

I actually don't think it did. It definitely didn't come over with Polly, it was ages before Polly came on here.

I remember the thread, it's just a coincidence. Dovers told Carmine to meet him down at the linnet, and Carmine told him to come outside into the car park. That's how I remember it.

It didn't come over with Polly, but the Queens car park thing has been going on for years on CI and just morphed on here when lots of 606 and CI posters came together., one of them being Dovers obviously.
