Meh.

He'll be so delighted if he wins, as if it's some kind of actual victory. His drunken speeches would be brilliant and hilariously embarrassing, like most of his posts.
 
Can someone explain to me what Linnet car park is? I'm relatively new and I've seen this come up several times in various threads.

Yes mate it does involve me.

Quite some time ago a thread descended into chaos where I found myself having a ding dong with our then resident WUM, namely Doveston.

It resulted in Doveston and I arranging to meet for a square go in Linnet car park.


It was a drunken embarrassment of a thread, it happens, and I apologised for being a dick the next day.

The thread was deleted by OLM, rightly so, but it has made its way into Not 606 folklore.


For the record Dovers and I are best mates now.

It's a twist on a joke theme used for several years on CI, where posters in dispute would 'threaten' to meet in Queens Car Park. When it was used on here, someone thought Queens was too common and suggested Linnet as bizarrely they thought it was more upmarket.

I don't recall who started it on there, but Polly has been one of the main users over the years, and brought it onto not606.
