Thing is with these votes and polls.

The big majority of fans aren't in these groups that poll.

And the big majority aren't on internet forums.

So what ever results come out they don't prove anything.

Didn't you just dismiss it in a previous post until OLM pointed out it was only 58% against? <laugh>

Even if it's true, that isn't a reason to change. I'm not fearful of heights or the dark but I still spend most of my time at ground level in well-lit rooms. Not being scared of something isn't a reason to do it, there should be a reason; a clear benefit or gain. There isn't for this. You know there isn't. You haven't once even tried to explain a reason there's a benefit. Your stance is just that you like Allam and don't like any kind of negativity from other fans. Your view changes depending on what Allam does. You never wanted a name change until he proposed it, and you posted in support of Barmby before Allam sacked him then changed your mind with no matches in between because people turned on Allam and you needed to justify your stance in support of him.

All that in bold is, is a way of having a stupid dig those of us who don't want to change the name.

Don't start on my Barmby stance again, you ended up looking like a fool the last time you did that. Why can't I have a dig at the antis? EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has come out in support of the change, including sports marketing experts has been abused on this and other forums. It's a sport on its own on this forum. Post article, abuse person supporting the owner.

You don't have an opinion until AA gives you one.

Same as Prescott.

Oh. So I should base my opinion on what you tell me it should be? lol. Thanks, I'll stick with weighing up the options, assessing the benefits then making my own mind up.

Erm. You've been claiming a massive majority. How many were "not arsed to vote and thus didn't feel the need to vote against"? I thought the OSC membership were disgusted with the stance taken regarding the join CTWD statement?

My stance on polls is the same, I meant its interesting to me how this one will be spun to present another load of bollocks from CTWD. I guess it will be the standard attack on the people who didn't vote against it.

It's not quite as clear cut as we've been led to believe is it?

It depends on who you listen to on how clear cut it is. I have always said that the FA will make a decision on what they see as the best interests of the game in general. If they feel having US style name changes will damage their product they will vote against. If they see consultation with supporters is an important part of the industry they will vote against and ask Assem Allam to consult the fans. If they like the idea they will vote in favour.

Personally I was expecting a much closer vote with even a small majority in favour. If the published results are similar to these percentages I'm impressed that the OSC has voted no to Hull Tigers.

Yes. That would have been the right way.

A straight yes or no

I would have voted NO.

trouble is we wouldn't get a straight yes or no

In which case I'm not sure how I would have voted.

Grrr.

Hope your looking after those great scooters of yours..

ah so are they're in direct competition with each other?
I thought Lambretta's were like the next generation of Vespa's... kinda like the next model.. like WIN 8 and WIN 9.

They were in competition when they started in the late 40's, right up to the 60's, but Lambretta went bust in 1972.

They knocked out some **** ones in India after that and they've recently launched some plastic **** from Taiwan with a Lambretta badge, but there's been no proper Lambretta's made since 1972(Vespa are still going strong).

That's true, but there is one place that all the fans who matter gather on regular basis and that's matchdays. The opposition to the name change at matches is huge, particularly away games.

None of that makes any sense. You clearly can't defend your decision to perform a complete u-turn on Barmby because Allam said so. Your complete fabrication about sports marketing experts coming out in support of the name change is a harmful lie. Quite the opposite is true and you know it. See this is what I mean when I say you're just trying to be irritating. And the bit in response to OLM, whilst none of my business, is just bizarre. When did he tell you what to think? His post was the exact opposite, saying you should make your own mind up instead of lapping up everything Allam says and altering your view of every other part of the world that revolves around him to accommodate that.

ah I never knew they went bust

Lambrettas make better chops.

Look nicer ...

But you can't beat a vespa p200 for long distance

I Have a Vespa T5 mk1

And have just sold my second T5 mk1

oo , you need a small fortune to buy a genuine Italian Lambretta nowadays

Lammy man's scooters are classics .

Forum Poll

What's better

1 Vespa
2 Lammbretta
3 Walking

I expect that the majority who could vote may give this poll a miss.

Or it could be published that the majority prefer Lammbrettas.

Only if more than 50% of people voted Lambretta.

It'd be as meaningful as asking for a vote on Hull Tigers on a scooter forum.
