Hull 2nd bid for Kasper Schmeichel has been laughed off. They bid 1.75M

If that what there offering still I cant see them being able to match our asking price

The Foxes are under no pressure to sell one of their prized assets and are looking for a fee in excess of twice that which has been tabled by Tigers' boss Steve Bruce.

However, despite a huge financial loss of almost £30m in the last financial year, the club's Thai owners have pledged continued investment.

You couldnt afford Stockdale for 4M

So how can you afford Schmeichel for 4M?

Jesus proud have a little think before you post it wasn't that we couldn't afford stockdale it was simply he isn't worth 4 million and neither is a championship keeper in his last year of a contract , I suspect we may have one more bid before we look elsewhere.

"Schmeichel himself is settled in the west Midlands and would need to uproot his family in search of his dream of following in his father's footsteps and playing regularly once more in the Premier League after a breakthrough earlier in his career with Manchester City".

This is the quote Hull fans need to pay attention to.

Why would Kasper risk a season with yourselves on a long term contract only to be back where he started? If, like i've said all summer, a settled Premier League team comes in and meets our 4m asking price he will go.

I honestly can't see Kasper leaving for Hull, especially not this summer/season.

We're not paying £4m for Stockdale because he isn't worth that. Schmeichel is probably worth that to you, but he isn't necessarily worth that to everybody else. I don't think we'll go higher than £2.5m, but to be honest I don't think it'll take much more than to get him. By that point I think we'll have given up and gone for somebody else.

Where never going to agree on this because I don't see him turning us down to stay with Leicester if a fee is agreed , and with Bruce as manager and a few canny signings I'm confident we can hold our own next season.

and your quotes are from who ? Surely if this was the case kasper would of come out by now and said thanks but no thanks , the silence speaks volumes in my opinion .

Bloody hell fire this must be a first... AKCJ posting on his own forum ;)

Seriously though, I think it'd be cracking for us if Kasper did sign; however given the choice I'd be looking to spend cheaper. Schwarzer and McGregor would be at the top of my GK list for us. As my LCFC supporting friend at uni says, if we got Kasper it'd be probably one of the best bit of businesses we've done for a little while... as long as we got him for under £2.5 million.

Total waste of time and amateurishly pointless... they get their incontinence pants in a twist when we tried to buy their players ..then say they won't do business with us like a petulant child..now this... ebmarrassingly feeble..<ok>

It does strike me as a bit of tit-for-tat this situation, and it'll annoy me as much as I found your bids for our players laughable.

I know the transfer market is a bit of a game, but if we're prepared to offer £1.75M why the hell have we offered £1.25M first? If we were prepared to pay £3M and offered £2.5M to try and get him a bit more cheaply then fair enough, but nobody expects you to sell for less than £2M so we're just wasting our own time. We must have known roughly what you wanted in order to sell. We should have offered something a little bit lower than that so you lot were umming and ahhing as it's so close and then the negotiations would have started off in a meaningful manner. Rather than you quoting so much higher than we offered it could have been a case of negotiating the terms of a clause over the extra amount. It we're offering £1.75M and you want £2.5M, go for £2M with £500k as a survival/promotion clause.

I know it'll never happen, but wouldn't it be nice if just once a club came in with what they felt was a fair price, and if it was rejected they just walked away. Rather than offering something stupidly low and then upping it almost 50% the second it's rejected.

Is that Hulls 1st summer signing? Dont know much about him myself.

Nah that's not, this is though:
