Everything he's said in the last few weeks has been about how terrible it is that ordinary people are listened to and can have their say. Whether it's politics or football, he obviously can't stand democracy. But ot course he fled a dictatorship etc etc. Seems he loved democracy when he was the one being shat on by the dictatorial regime. Now that he's a rich man in a safe, democratic country, he wants a dictatorship.

Here's an idea Assem, **** off to another country where that's still a thing. Repulsive ****.

He is correct though, it's a strange process having this random group of unqualified people make the decisions.

Would it be better if just the ones Allam takes out for a nice meal were making the decisions?

The reason he lost, apart from having absolutely **** all case, was that he went for the top of the FA thinking that was all he had to do. Wine and dine Dyke and the rest will follow surely. We'd known for months that the 'blazers' would stop him, but they're all beneath Allam in his little world so he didn't bother with them.

I thought the most amateur thing about the whole business was meant to be the Allams' presentation, wasn't it?

It used to say "if they say no I'm off within 24 hours". Weeks later we're still waiting.

Standard paddy then because he didn't get his own way. I doubt he'd make the same comment if things had gone in his favour. It's embarrassing to see a man in his position carrying on like a spoilt child.

After two years of rejection, you'd think he would at least have dreamt up a new spiel by now. What a foolish old man he is.

Allam's actions regarding Hull City make sense if you take into account the fact that he only put money into the club because he thought the council would give him the stadium we own and paid for. He isn't and has never been a good owner.

He won't/can't let go because he is the type of liar that convinces himself the version of events he tells himself is reality.

Hardly the right thing to say about people when you want them on your side. Just goes to show what a ****ing arsehole he is.

AA makes an attempt to steal the thunder once again

Hull City chairman Assem Allam says FA are 'amateurs'
Hull City chairman Assem Allam has described the Football Association as "amateurs" after the organisation blocked his plan to rebrand the club.

Allam wanted to rename the Championship club Hull Tigers, but the change was rejected by the FA Council in July.

"It is a sad day that most of the people who make the decisions are amateurs," Allam told the Sun.

"To go global, we need to market ourselves. The shorter the name, the better."

The 76-year-old businessman added: "Look at Google, Apple, Twitter. You don't go out to the world and say 'We are Hull City Tigers Association Football Club'.

"If you do that, expect to fail."

Allam also insisted he is popular with Hull City fans despite protests against his proposed name change.

"Overwhelmingly, they are positive about what I am trying to do," Allam said.

Still persisting with the idea that our name has always been Hull City Tigers then. And people credit this guy with being really cunning.
