Not just the derby result, we've been dire on more than one occassion. I've seen every game and going back to Brighton in the cup game in January the guys looked like they didn't know what they were supposed to be doing and a couple of weeks later we got turned over by Reading at our place.

We were pathetic against Wigan and may as well not have turned up at Man City.

Much more than just one game to be concerned about.

No doubt we have been poor on more than one occasion this season. No doubt there have been plenty of games where we haven't looked well drilled (there are plenty where we have too)

However just 12 months previous we were the best drilled team in the league and as such performed way above any sane minded persons expectations.

So what do we do? Change the manager? What when they have a bad spell or season? Do we then sack them too? My concern is that in my time watching Newcastle we have rarely given managers genuine time and have never given a manager time once they hit a sticky spell. Even the best make mistakes and have bad seasons to then learn from them. KK was the only one who would have been afforded more by some. Even Sir Bobby had a minority of detractors after a sticky spell. My concern is that we seem unwilling to accept that we overachieved massively last year, we've underachieved massively this year and more time is needed to get a handle on exactly where this is going.

I know the modern way is different but 2 and a half years is a criminally short period to judge people on, let alone a selection of games (although there have been quite a few) in just one season.

I just feel this club will never learn. We'll forever be changing managers searching for something which doesn't exist.

We're all individuals and will think and act as we see fit. I for one am fed up with the passionless Cockney twat and will just stop going to the games, I've had more than enough of him and would rather remember the good times than go on watching the dross he's serving up and just remember the rubbish.

If he's still here next season I wont be renewing my ST.

To be fair, I think we've all heard the rumours that he's been accused of too much passion in the past!

I think we should look elsewhere for a manager, but I don't agree he lacks passion.

He lacks ability, but not passion.

Its quite simple really. If he carries on with his jobs for the boys mentality and disgusting long ball merchantry we are going to get relegated.

If that happens he can **** off with my compliments. No interview saying 'I'm going to stay here to set things right.....' just pack your bags and take your lovers Tiote and Jonas with you with Shola driving the bus to where ever the **** you like.

Having trawled through the many posts on the forum after yesterday's shocker, it's quite natural that there's going to be a huge reaction to not only the defeat against our nearest and dearest but also the season in general.

Pardew, the players, coaching staff, medical team etc have all had an absolute slating, which given where we are after last season is fully understandable, however the man I hold fully responsible for our current demise is Mike Ashley.

The thin bastard has shown complete disregard for the club by embarking on this policy of losing weight over quite a period of time which has resulted in poor managerial decisions, poor performances from certain players, incorrect medical assessments and dissent from the fans, not to mention the effect on the economy of Melton Mowbray with latest figures showing a 30% decrease in pork pie sales.

It's easy to find a scapegoat for our current plight but I urge you all not to be blinkered by the real reason for our demise, come on Mike put some weight back on before it's too late.

Newcastle were the envy of a lot of other clubs only one or two seasons ago, they had passion and camaraderie in abundance that massively compensated for what they were missing in style and substance. Your manager has destroyed that, evidently and is trying to replace it, as was always inevitable, with ability. It's perfectly clear to see now, he has wrecked your club spirit; nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors but it's blindingly obvious that your players are not backing him like they used to.

I'd think that your ruthless owner will dispatch him at the earliest opportunity, probably as soon as you are mathematically safe. Newcastle do crave stability but that doesn't always mean sticking with what you have and riding out the storm.

Assuming you don't lose your last 5 games and drop out of the division, I'd be surprised if your next manager isn't French.

I hope pardew goes today

Mate you can't want him gone with five games remaining. Not a fan of his tactics at all but lets just pick up a few points (Christ knows how), get to the summer then re-evaluate the situation then (which basicially means get rid of him). Sacking him now would cause complete chaos

His ****e team selection rubbish set PIECES and piss poop subs are only the tip of te iceberg .

No out today his job is beat Sunderland and he failed

Replacing him now would be madness, IMO.

But I'm 100% convinced that we need to replace him in the summer if we are to a) improve next season b) keep the best players at the club.

I am in favour of the following;

1) Pardew is sacked as soon as (if) we get enough points to be mathematically safe.

2) Pardew is sacked at the end of the season.

So that is my view, there is no 'Pardew stays' option.

Recently, I think I worked out the game plan... Do nothing until half time (try not to concede a goal) then after the break, do nothing, then the last 15 minutes, try and get a goal.

Jonas said in an interview lately "we must do better" I mean... What kind of statement is that? After losing 4-0 to Man City, yeah I am sure we SHOULD be doing better! You could copy and paste that statement for 99% of our games this season.

As others have said, it is NOT for yesterdays result only, it is based on the entire season being a complete whitewash, Europe did drain the players, no doubt about that, but we were not exactly playing wonderful football prior to the Europa games, and then when the excuses of 'it's our squad' were solved by the new signings, we won a couple of games, I , for one, was happy to be proved wrong by Pardew however after those wins we have been just as useless as before, losing to Swansea, Wigan, Sunderland it is not acceptable - the manner of the loss more than the loss itself.

So, time is up for me with Pardew, there is no more chances for him, even if we win all our remaining games 5 nil, he still goes, end of story.

This sums it up in a completely random change of a quote;

"One swallow doesn't make a summer"

translate in the book of NUFC to "One good season does not make Pardew a good manager"

For me the issue is who we get not when we get them. Our problem is we always find another vegetable to replace another and we will again with wages on offer. Just fire him now carver will do better

If we got rid of him now mate and gave it to Carver till the end of the season we would go down. We might go down anyway but it just doesn't make sense to change it now with five games remaining.

Nah just do it. Dont give him the excuse to ruin the start of next season.I hate him andalways have. We Will go down if he stays I know I'm right because I usually am.

Mate he's failed we lost to Sunderland 3 nowt its over even if we stay up
