Hey, I'm from Ballymena. Pikeys sprout up from holes in the ground where I come from.

I'm watching Inside Death Row on ITV and it stuns me to see how normal the convicts who are on death row are. They don't seem affected by the fate that awaits them. Of course they may be hopeful of a successful appeal but one of them said that he deserves to be executed.

Last meals of some of the inmates: http://imgur.com/a/7ddjs

Includes some famous criminals like Ted Bundy and Timothy McVeigh. It's pretty interesting stuff, and it reminds you that they were just regular people at one point.

It is interesting. Trevor McDonald has just spoken to an inmate who is serving 170 years for double murder, which he committed at the age of 13. He is eligible for parole when he reaches 100.

Yeah, my jaw dropped when I saw that. He did the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. I had no idea the death toll was that high.

Certainly am. I'd be a lot more productive if it wasn't for that damn website.

I'm conflicted between introducing my friends and letting it ruin their lives or never telling them but they'll never know its joys.

Actually he wasn't convicted of 168 murders. he was convicted of 8 because he wasn't tried in Oklahoma so they couldn't charge with with the other 160 and they didn't bother sending him to Oklahoma to take him to trial for these murders because he was given the death penalty anyway.

To be fair, it can be very helpful as well. /r/lifeprotips and /r/frugal in particular.

Don't worry I'm a subscriber to that also. The gradual disappearance of everything in the photo makes me laugh even though it happens every time.

Your missing out! Search for what you're interested in and subscribe to it's appropriate subreddit. Over time you'll stumble across other stuff like /r/BirdsWithArms and subscribe to that. It's very American reference heavy but it's still brilliant.
