I'm watching Inside Death Row on ITV and it stuns me to see how normal the convicts who are on death row are. They don't seem affected by the fate that awaits them. Of course they may be hopeful of a successful appeal but one of them said that he deserves to be executed.

Includes some famous criminals like Ted Bundy and Timothy McVeigh. It's pretty interesting stuff, and it reminds you that they were just regular people at one point.

It is interesting. Trevor McDonald has just spoken to an inmate who is serving 170 years for double murder, which he committed at the age of 13. He is eligible for parole when he reaches 100.

Yeah, my jaw dropped when I saw that. He did the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. I had no idea the death toll was that high.

Actually he wasn't convicted of 168 murders. he was convicted of 8 because he wasn't tried in Oklahoma so they couldn't charge with with the other 160 and they didn't bother sending him to Oklahoma to take him to trial for these murders because he was given the death penalty anyway.

I don't understand how to use Reddit so I don't :(

Your missing out! Search for what you're interested in and subscribe to it's appropriate subreddit. Over time you'll stumble across other stuff like /r/BirdsWithArms and subscribe to that. It's very American reference heavy but it's still brilliant.
