The following three tweets highlighted by BBC Sportsday:
Paul Warner on Twitter: "Guess Sigurdsson's move means Modric and VDV are on their way from the Lane. Interesting times at #THFC. Inspired or Disaster?"
Aaron Cotton on Twitter: "Gylfi wants to play with the style that suits him most, not for the money, so he snubs BR to join Spurs. £££ wins every time."
Philip Battison on Twitter: "Can't believe sig'son is the level of LFC ambition. Could he ever replace Stevie G? No offence to him, but we can do better."
All three of them are fvcking ridiculous statements, there is clearly a mouser behind the desk today.
1. Modric and Sigurdsson are totally different players so it is clearly not a replacement for him, perhaps the fact that we have sold Kranjcar and look to be selling Pienaar could have something to do with this transfer.
2. Why would he join Spurs 'for the money' over Liverpool? Liverpool pay far greater wages than we do, with most of their squad players earning the same as our top earners, he would have been paid far more at Anfield.
3. Bitter Mouser claiming that Sigurdsson is beneath them, this coming from a fan who would have had to endure watching the likes of Spearing, Downing and Adam for the last 12 months.
