yesterday, someone said that they'd heard from a "good source" that it was £60k. Id be very surprised if we've gone as high as £70k. it's just not like us.
Well if it's anything like my work he'll have a wait and he's probably got a desktop but no montior too...
WY - the beeb didn't even report our new manager on Breakfast this morning. There was some general chit-chat with a guy from the new york times, some cycling, some tennis and the report that Sturridge MIGHT miss the Olympics. Pathetic.
I spent my first 3 days at my first job after uni without a computer, monitor or desk. My job - software developer.
Surely 2 and 3 are totally incompatible - looking for a replacement for Gerrard but unwilling to pay comparatively small wages for Sigurdsson. Fact is if you cant afford Sigurdsson you're certainly not going to be able to afford anyone better than him, he came at a good price and if his wage demands were ridiculous there is no way Levy would've signed him, he was about to join Swansea so he can't have demanded that much to join you!
I thought Little Dragon were Swedish with a Japanese vocalist. (And, because that will doubtless go over everyone's heads, here we go...) And, before I forget - Mousers, suck it.
One of the reasons I was banned from the Mouser board was because I insisted, in a perfectly reasoned argument, that the new Yank owner would not be splashing any of his own cash at 'Pool. My reasons for saying this were because(a) I had seen two interviews with the new Yank owner in which he said that there wasn't going to be a huge injection of cash, and (b) having picked up the club for a bargain-basement price they would want to consolidate on what they already had before making any foolish investments (Yanks tend not to do that, anyway), and (c) the appointment of Kenny-boy was a cheap move that cost them nothing, since the old fool was already on their books in some capacity. Everything that has happened at 'Pool since I came up with my argument has proven me right. The splashing out of monies on the stable of donkeys that Kenny-boy bought was done so with the windfall made on selling Torres. There will be no other significant funds for big spending. My major beef with the average Mouser is that he is either too stupid and/or too deluded to understand or see this.
I must say, it's a good thing for them I'm banned from the Mouser board, because I'd be having a field day, today!
I know! I agree with everything you've just said. I was just backing up the twitter comment, I believe Sig isn't a good enough replacement for Gerrard, but we aren't going to get much better and if we won't pay for Sig's wages what hope do we have of a replacement? Figures at the moment are that we offered 40k, u gave 60k. It's nothing. N'gog was on £70k and cole IS on £90k. It's an embarrassment, Sig is worth more than 40 ****ing thousand and I'm getting annoyed that our owners have done **** all for the last 18 months. And before any "honeymoon over" jokes - I was always sceptical of new ownership and so far have had nothing to make me think otherwise.
The obvious flaw in football reporting in this country: Arsenal sign Giroud and Podolski, and it's reported on how they will complement Van Persie, rather than replace him Spurs sign Sigurdsson, and it's reported how he's replacing Modric and/or an Der Vaart, rather than replace Kranjcar and Pienaar
who gives a ****, Arsenal can sign who they like and they will still win **** all. There are plenty of flaws with football reporting in this country.
The papers don't have a history of all but dragging Arsenal players to Man Utd or Chelsea like they do with ours...
I see that from an interview with SSN, Sigurdsson has said that a chat with AVB was the deciding factor in his choice of Spurs. Let's hope that he can deliver on whatever grand vision that he has outlined, that so impressed Sigurdsson.
i've been laid up ill since last Thursday and i've watched t.v. and until this Morning and coming on the forum i did'nt know AVB was the new manager, there's been nothing about it on the new's!!!.
