We're obsessed with QPR because we still want you in this league next season, as if you are we are certain of another 6 points towards safety.

He is quite entitled to join the conversation as long as he refrains from wum posts as is anyone else, which he is well aware now
We do not need to abuse or insult him in return, just counter argue his points and let the thread take it's course.
As i said people don't really know anything about the case, they put 2+2 together and get 6. WE were fined neither of those amounts but i can understand with 6 fingers the price may go up.
So I was £75k off, I don't care and I never mentioned the £1mill figure!
If you were fined that means QPR were guilty of something.

I have always been all of those but found it hard to be all of these in my previous months of moderating. During my absence, under a lot of pressure from Dave and one or two others, I sat back and thought about what I could offer the forum if I returned to the moderator role.
My conclusion was to not get involved in disputes but to give each person enough rope with which to hang themselves, and at that point intervene in the best interests of the board.
Dave & myself take the moderator role with a certain amount of responsibility and we want to see our board become a place where new members are not opened to abuse from all quarters, especially visitors. How do we do that? by leadership and showing the way to deal with wum's. Be firm but fair to visitors and our own supporters.
We would like this forum a place where you guys want to encourage others to come to to discuss football and not how many bloody fingers we can give our sister etc..
I hope the vast majority of our fans will appreciate what we are trying to achieve.

I agree that it gets annoying when people just 'wum' all the time, but we are ALL guilty of 'wumming' at certain times and that in my book is fine. How on earth whole_lot_of_holt is still posting on here, I'll never know!
I think its fair to say that most people on here are adults and surely we can all rise above a few 6 finger jibes, can't we?!?!
Most can, yes but not all can. I, however, take a slightly different view.............
If the likes of racism, sexism etc are frowned at by the vast majority who use the forum then why should be acceptable to accept insults? Would you expect someone unknown to you to walk up to you in the street and abuse or insult you and just casually walk away, leaving you doing nothing? At best you would be highly annoyed (after the initial shock perhaps) but at worst you would smack him on the beak!
I do however accept that some visitors will come along and use the same old boring material to taunt us and to a point I have no problem but when it it appears in one individuals posts time after time it kind of loses it's gloss even more and I would prefer to discourage it.
When we visit other boards (let's say Cardiff for example). Included in the first line of the post, do we say - Hey sheep shaggers?
I find the best way to rise above six finger comments is to call them smoke breathing, chimney sweeping, fruit and veg selling, cockney ****s.
But that's just me.

I'd like to point out that I know of someone with such a condition and so I find such insults unsavoury, to put it politely. Those sort of comments irritate me but you just have to get on with it.
With respect, you can't compare real life to an internet forum.
But if you want to compare a forum to real life - if I wanted to report someone to the police for being racist, I would expect the police to arrest that person and be charged with something. I get the feeling if I reported somebody for saying I had six fingers and I slept with my sister, the police would laugh at me.
Why has whole_lot_of_holt not come under more scrutiny?
He's hardly ever here, and when he is, it's usually just for a bit of man-love with Loiner (they're the 'dandy mavericks', don't you know?).
Cheap insults are the tools of the ill-educated. I think that categorises Ellers very nicely.
Carra, WloH has been warned as to his future conduct by me and has since disappeared from our forum, if he reappears, I shall keep a very close watch on him!
Thai and I are trying to make this a welcoming site for new posters! They aren't going to be excited about joining a forum where they may be greeted by someone calling them names!
