Let's not forget that it wasn't instant with Nigel here either, but once he was able to make his own additions the results came.

I know it's fashionable to hate Leicester, and actually be competitive in that hatred, but we all know what he did for us. And continues to do with some great players he left behind, in fact.

He is a good manager, Leicester do have potential, they will improve. Don't be afraid of it, or even let it bother you in the slightest to be honest. They're not our problem.

There, I said it.

Fully agree with you Party, LCFC should hang on to him for the next three years, and fight tooth and claw if any big club like Chelsea or Manu or Man City (or AC Milan?) try to snaffle him and backroom team.

There I've said it!

Can't argue with that, it's a good post. <ok>

But you won't find anyone on here who'd have him back, which must tell you something.

When NP was revealed as manager, I posted that I did not think it was a good move, but I warmed to him, or should I say to the way we went about things on the pitch.
But he was sacked at Southampton as they believed he could not take them further. Now it is possible to see that whilst he was a steady eddie, his style of play is flawed. Too much midfield and defence and not enough attack.
Billy Sharp is not right for any team that is not committed to attacking play.

Agree with this. Pearson has the ability to fix a team's defence but he does it by changing the balance / tactics of the whole team towards defending. This reduces the attacking potential of the midfield and starves the forwards of decent chances.
These tactics are the extent of his expertise and imagination and from there he relies on Walsh to find him the type of midfielders and strikers who can make the most out of those half ar5ed tactics.

Correcto-mundo :) :) :)

That's it is a nut shell Craig, good post. Interesting NB has already sused out that Brady's best position is probably in the hole, rather than on the wing.

Pure gold, pure sucking gold :emoticon-0102-bigsm

He comes on our board (after Dutch asks us not to trespass) talks ****e and then throws his teddy out !!

NP only found out, eventually, by accident - when McKenna and Cairney (?) were out and he had to play Koren in the centre.

I remember that at least three/four posters were pointing out about Korens central position being critical to his play, weeks and weeks before NP had to put him back there. Seems strange that a professional football manager had to find out the hard way. I know he was trying to get the best out of others, but it was pretty obvious that Koren was such a class player that you did everything possible to supprt his best play.

The Burnley game wen he threw Dudgeon on and we had two confused left backs neither knowing who was playing where, and then we conceded 3 goals.

The panic had already set into the game prior to Dawson coming on. But yes they did get in each others way. But thats was not Nicks fault. Basic errors all over the pitch cost City that game in the end. imo.
