Non-league football day today. Anyone going to a local match? I'm on a coach to Slough Town to see if Eastbourne Borough can get the 3 points to stave off relegation.

Imagine following Leeds United and then choosing a local side to watch stress free football and then experiencing the same thing! New owner, changed the club set up, sacked the manager, let 6 players go, sold the best 5 players, put prices up, having a terrible season, CEO no-one speaks well of.... Still owner plans to do a 'Wrexham within 5 seasons. Supposedly worth £400m.
Been to watch wakefield todat stuffed the supposed champions elect 3-1 gpod afternoon out.

Does his initial contract "expire" in June 2024? Does that mean that his transfer fee from Real Sociedad will have fully depreciated and that the 5M Eu would be "profit" and count positively towards FFP?

He signed a contract extension towards the end of 2023, just before going on loan to Roma. He has just over two years left on his terms.

He's been with us for almost 4 years, so any FFP would be negligible. 5m Euro's is insulting.

Guess it’s a buyer’s market, we don’t want him and he doesn’t want to come back.

Transfermarkt values him at 8M Eu as of Dec 2023, with a significant decline from 12M Eu as of June 2023. Assuming that their assessment is correct, would it not be reasonable for that to decrease if an additional part of the contract were to have expired. Perhaps $5 Eu is not so insulting, even if somewhat on the low side.

That was my thought.. English football is way over the top with fees and wages. £45 to watch Leeds is extorsion. I paid £4 yesterday non league and £4:40p a pint. Great value and up close to the game.
It was non-league day yesterday so there were concessions. Billericay Town yesterday £5 for adults (£3 concession), anyone U18 free admission and your first beer at the bar was free <ok>
