Ended up being a mixed day, Chester lost at home and thus dropped out of the play off positions, whilst the Nomads have got through to the Welsh Cup final due to a 89th minute winner
Does his initial contract "expire" in June 2024? Does that mean that his transfer fee from Real Sociedad will have fully depreciated and that the 5M Eu would be "profit" and count positively towards FFP?
He signed a contract extension towards the end of 2023, just before going on loan to Roma. He has just over two years left on his terms. He's been with us for almost 4 years, so any FFP would be negligible. 5m Euro's is insulting.
Transfermarkt values him at 8M Eu as of Dec 2023, with a significant decline from 12M Eu as of June 2023. Assuming that their assessment is correct, would it not be reasonable for that to decrease if an additional part of the contract were to have expired. Perhaps $5 Eu is not so insulting, even if somewhat on the low side.
As with all players he’s only wort what someone’s willing to pay for him. Doesn’t matter what we or transfer sites think he’s worth. Fans will always over value their players anyway
That was my thought.. English football is way over the top with fees and wages. £45 to watch Leeds is extorsion. I paid £4 yesterday non league and £4:40p a pint. Great value and up close to the game.
It was non-league day yesterday so there were concessions. Billericay Town yesterday £5 for adults (£3 concession), anyone U18 free admission and your first beer at the bar was free
