Martin gotta be next. He was fortunate to get them up last season, and actually was pretty close to the bullet before they went on a run then.

He simply isn’t flexible enough for the PL.

Martin to me is one of those "project managers", joins a club with a 3, 4, 5 year plan to develope and build them, but leaves way before seeing it through, so you're never really sure how good he actually is.

I think he tries to play the right kind of football it’s always positive but ultimately he doesn’t have the players to compete in the PL. We’ve seen this season possession isn’t everything but City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Brighton have more possession than Southampton this season. Loads of passes (same as Liverpool), tied with Arsenal for least amount of long balls. In terms of possession the ones mentioned are all teams you expect to be right up there, Chelsea’s is actually identical to Southamptons - so he’s getting his philosophy across but they’re just not very good in the final third only mustering up 94 shots in 9 matches with just 29 on target. It’s one thing having the ball but it’s another thing A) breaking teams down and creating goalscoring opportunities and B) having enough quality in the final third to do that.
