Nah it had to be. It's one of the first instructions given to defenders in kids football. Once the ball is cleared, push the f*ck up. So to not do it, is a clear tactic, as it goes against instinct. DD is crap but it might actually help him if the defence and midfield played higher up, as he wouldn't always be so isolated, and feeding off scraps.
My bad. Must have missed that one. Did see actually but you obviously don’t agree with my general malaise about him. That said, I Sincerely hope he starts to do what £8M was meant to bring & maybe a new manager will be able to trigger.
I don't disagree, and I'd like to see him get out on loan somewhere or play to confidence in the U21s. There may still be a player in there we can use.
