It’s stupid that is like wanting your team to do bad, I liked LR as the coach but TW is here now so I want him to do better as for the players there is hundreds of thousands of people out there that think they are being over worked for a lot less money and ****tier lifestyle.

There is also many athletes that work really hard for very little except sponsorships to help them, TW is the coach that is what he is paid for they are paid to play football at the highest level they can so they should train as hard as possible to entertain the fans who buy their season passes or tickets when they can afford them from a lot of smaller wages so they if they are complaining just shut the hell up and get on with it and be thankful this club has let them play for it.

All the things he tried to implement and bring into the club that the players hated are now common place and seen as run of the mill across pro clubs.

People just like to be right about things, particularly when it comes to football. There’s a feverish desire for some people to be the oracle on all things football. They need Walter to fail so they can say “me told you so”.

Phil Parkinson was arrogant in his methods but he was ahead of the curve and the modern game has vindicated him, in my opinion. He just didn’t have the experience or reputation at the time and the players simply didn’t buy into it.

Sure, but my point is I suppose what length of ban would be required for us to not exercise it if we are in fact expecting him to be banned.

And then there's some that just want City to be as good as they can be, and having our worst start in 18 years elicits frustration.

Why would any actual City fan want him to fail ?

By definition if you did want that you wouldn't be a City fan would you ?

They always say if they wear the shirt we will support him that must also count for TW to I assume.

I really do think that Rosenior's sacking had such a seismic impact on the City supporter base that for some time there will be a healthy dose of skepticism of anything said by anyone. Either people will be seen as saying things because "they want to justify the sacking of Rosenior" and will be seen to blindly be supporting Walter despite one open play goal and no wins in 4 league games to start the season, and then there will be those who will be "wanting Walter to fail" because they aren't won over by improvements in the style of play and all the mitigating circumstances including the huge number of incomings.

I don’t know…some value the ability to say they are correct based on an opinion they’ve formed in a short space of time. I’ve had a few already on twitter giving it the “told you so” based on pre season

I'm genuinely curious to see how patient Acun is compared to City fans (both those showing patience and those showing impatience). We know he can get influenced by noisy social media commentary - latest example seemingly (yes I'm GUESSING) in relation to the non-signing of Cooper - and a desperation for exciting football.

I’ve heard his wage demands were pretty ridiculous too considering he’s have been coming in as 4th choice

It is worrying we have to think like that

He was being daft with his demands so that plus the lets say lukewarm fan response made our mind up

That's definitely true, but the point is it didn't help him or us at the time. Walter's methods might be scientifically for the best but if the players don't buy in then it won't end well.

Again, with the caveat that all of this is assumption and supposition anyway.

Never really kicked on though did he?

His innovation may have become commonplace in the last 2 decades but others have clearly implemented in more effectively over the years.

Though it probably is an achievement in itself that he's been continually employed since then and had some success when well backed in the lower leagues.
