Last season was a real over achievement for where we were in real terms. This season is probably about right (and currently where I predicted pre season). Like you, Magdad and others have said, we still need another 4+ transfer windows to really compete with the big boys.

Last season was yes but that's gone the club is where it is now. Newcastle are and have been spending big. Howe didn't change anything until the spending started either... we struggled until then. Money spent and wages determine where clubs should finish.
