I seen something other day where Eddie Howe said 2 hours on the grass was too long for training sessions. Its on youtube Pick a pro with him and Tindall (canny watch to be fair) Doesn't suggest their being over worked to me.

I also know earlier in the season they weren't even training on the grass due to number of games. Again straight from the horses mouth.

Now is there an argument that the tactic is too demanding? - quite possibly.
Is there an argument players have been rushed back too quick? - Quite possibly.
Is there an argument players have had to play through injury? - Quite possibly.

Again this is information that suits a narrative , but players like Atsu are on record saying otherwise.

The fact is and the only fact is that Newcastle have had fatigue issue and unrivalled injury issues... The same happened at Bournemouth when Howe and his people were there and I'd also point at Leeds under Bielsa.

All I'm saying is I've made my judgement and I don't believe it's all luck... when things aren't working a new approach is required and this season things haven't worked in terms of the condition of the playing staff.

The argument or point being made is much more simple. It's that Newcastle have spent alot of money and are not doing particularly well or over achieving.

What's happened is people have started claiming the numbers are wrong and the numbers are always going to be wrong but the point remains.

Newcastle really just aren't over achieving.... the end of the season could see them under achieve but 8th I'm guessing is probably about right.
Last season was a real over achievement for where we were in real terms. This season is probably about right (and currently where I predicted pre season).
Like you, Magdad and others have said, we still need another 4+ transfer windows to really compete with the big boys.

I don't want to see this bullying narrative nonsense again please.

The truth is, if you provoke a group on a website, you get **** thrown at you.

If you can't handle the response, don't provoke a response

Last season was yes but that's gone the club is where it is now. Newcastle are and have been spending big.

Howe didn't change anything until the spending started either... we struggled until then.

Money spent and wages determine where clubs should finish.
