I can explain it.

He found something that thought nailed Howe to the cross for spending half a billion quid. Never read it properly, posted the link then thought he'd call us all out. Whilst forgetting he's an actual accountant and his sums were worse than ToonBoys homework

Everyone has a right to express their opinions. No problem with that, the issue I have is when things are expressed as factual (See GG's half billion £ spend quote) which he put a link up which shows (A) the spend has been £414m over 5 years in bold font as a headline (not all Howe's reign) and (B) £89m of that wasn't spent by Howe - The mans an accountant for Christ sake and is over £150m off the point he's tried to prove. Using facts from some grubby click bait site to try and prove a point is desperate.

The reason the term bedwetting is used is a simple one to prove - Go to a matchday thread, ignore every other poster other than GG and watch how it goes from super positive to negative in minutes

If you factor inflation mate it would be. And you don’t have to get personal. We could all do that. No need.

The fact that I was linking the real amount and quoting 500m clearly means I was being facetious. So your attacking the wrong facet of my argument.

It shows the squad was better than people think. This is why Steve Bruce gets away with peddling this idea he had no money .. he actually had very good money. Results wise he did aswel as Rafa who had no money, but he had a better side.

Newcastle really should be doing better with that spend over the last 5 years. Top 10 isn't really impressive.

Now factor in inflation.20.03% since 2021. Taking a conservative average of 15% that equals £435m. So ok it’s £65m away from 500m.

How much has he spent ? This is the key here.. all these numbers are probably inaccurate but they give us a rough idea.

The point being made is that Newcastle aren't overarching I believe.

I agree best would be if howe is successful.
