I've seen him likened to LJ in rhe way he speaks in buzz words etc... (similar to Speakman).

Now thing with LJ and his buzzwords is he spoke the but generally the football was average at best! If a manager comes in and plays good football getting results they will be forgiven the buzzwords by most! Just stop listening to him and watch the results <laugh>.

I will say though in my expereince people who drop buzzwords are one of two things, ****e at the actual thing they are talking about so try to fool everyone they are clued up or clued up to a point that they are obsessed with what they are talking about and are usually pretty good!

Based on Emiliano Martinez’s quotes on Beale, he’s the latter.

Let's scrap all liaison with the club then! The fans are at fault yet again.
At fault for what?

Of course the club shouldnt liaise with fans on manager appointments or signings as most of us dont really have a clue who the best person would be. We arent involved in the interview process so we have no idea how all the candidates have come across

We also dont know the financial situation of all these deals so again we cant just stamp our feet because we dont like an appt

I get it if a manager comes in and is unsuccessful we can have our voices heard that something isnt right.

As ive said several times, i'm not a fan of Beale at all however, we need to give him a chance to either prove us right or wrong (depending on your views of him). The club has nailed the last 2 appts in particular so deserve our trust

Lj ??

Like some have said above, KS and KLD are not stupid and will know exactly what they want. We either trust their judgement or we dont - and I generally do (at this stage). The last 2 gaffers have each taken us a step further, and can be regarded as successes.

MB would be far from my first choice, but dont understand the vitriol (mainly from OTR). I just dont see how taking on some unknown from the Swedish league would be preferred to someone who has worked in the Championship and also some of the biggest clubs in British Football.

I had to laugh at a psot on a different forum that said he didn't care about how good he was at tactics etc, he wanted someon with personality.

Maybe that particular dickhead should focus on summat like love island
Wanted someone with personality? I think Barry Fry is still alive or we could go all out for Keane again. Not a big fan of the cult of personality, look where it got us in terms of PM with Boris.

Sorry mate I’m a bit old school
I live in Chester le street
Not Chester or cc street or cls I just get confused with all this abreviations talk
It ok when it’s a well know abbreviation say wba we all know what that means (. lol )

With the depth of feeling from the posts on this thread alone, and if it is Beale, he will have a difficult time here as a lot of supporters don't want him.

Even if he plays decent football and does well, l belive those fans will find fault somewhere.

As l know nowt about any of those in the frame, l just hope and pray that the owners and management team make the right decision and we get behind whoever it is.

The club is building a sustainable future, one where we buy young players to profit off, I.e. Bellingham and also where we get players who are good player but lost their way a bit on the cheap like Roberts and Pritch coming when we were in league 1.

Maybe they see something like that in beale. Its reported he had a good reputation as a coach before the rangers job so maybe they see him as someone who has the attributes but lost his way a bit and they think he is worth the chance to build it here again.

It does seem an underwhelming appointment but no appointment is guaranteed to succeed, think we need to trust the club they made the right choice like they did with Neil and Mowbray.

Good post mate, balanced which isn't always the case on this thread.

Two points, from my perspective.

Firstly Eddie Howe. From abject failure at Burnley and terrible reception at Newcastle to Champions League and a Cup Final.

Secondly I wouldn't say SAFC are buying players primarily to make a profit off. I'd say we're trying to make progress, on the field, while bringing in players who we won't lose fortunes on as we've done in the past.

I've absolutely no idea why people are so angry that we're signing players that turn out to be so good we have PL clubs wanting to sign them for ten times our investment.

WTF is wrong with people ...

... do they really want to go back to the dark uncertain days when 'administration' was a word posted daily on here.

I do think, whatever anybody says, the club has a real chance to kick on here and appoint someone who galvanised all of us. Not only have they not done that, they’ve managed to appoint someone who has united the fanbase in disappointment before they’re even announced. It’s a ridiculous decision and a huge gamble. It ought to pay off for them, because there won’t be much leeway if it goes tits up
Appointing any manager is a gamble, all this disappointment with Beale is based in what? Nobody knows how good or bad he will be

Now that’s how to do it
A great use of well known abreviations

With Johnson lets not forget he took over from Parkinson and had some shocking players to work with. His POMO that people bang on about got 30 goals out of Wyke. He was instrumental in bringing players in as at that stage we did not have Harvey and co. Ross Stewart, Pritch, Evans, Baath were all heavily infleunced by Neil. Some of the young lads on loan like Doyle too. He gave Dan Neil his head for us. Ultimately I see Johnson as the coach that turned the SAFC football oil tanker round, and somebody else needed then to get it moving forward faster. I have no problem with Johnson at all tbh, and certainly not with his language. If Beale comes in and plays his part in our progression then happy days.
