Hopefully, but I can see a parallel between having world class candidates applying and SpeakmanSpeak regarding the current vacancy.Thing is, this isn't the same club any more ...
... like night and day compared to the last pathetic administration.
Good post mate, balanced which isn't always the case on this thread.
Two points, from my perspective.
Firstly Eddie Howe. From abject failure at Burnley and terrible reception at Newcastle to Champions League and a Cup Final.
Secondly I wouldn't say SAFC are buying players primarily to make a profit off. I'd say we're trying to make progress, on the field, while bringing in players who we won't lose fortunes on as we've done in the past.
I've absolutely no idea why people are so angry that we're signing players that turn out to be so good we have PL clubs wanting to sign them for ten times our investment.
WTF is wrong with people ...
... do they really want to go back to the dark uncertain days when 'administration' was a word posted daily on here.
They really really shouldn't. We signed Defoe the second time pretty much because of fan pressure, fans would've picked Roy Keane over Alex Neil, fans would never of appointed Mowbray, fans probably would've kept an injured Stewart, fans were very skeptical of the Amad signing, I seen plenty fans not happy with signing Clarke on a permanent. If our fans had it their own way we would sign 3 35 year old strikers on massive wages in January. The club should never listen the fans on footballing decisions. If my posts are irrelevant, you don't have to read or respond to them. Given, the club's past record with managers, they should take notice of the views of supporters. Of course, there are many different views and we shouldn't make the decision but our views should be made and considered.
We have so many fans with numerous diverse views. I don't have any proof that the club were influenced in the way that you insist but stand by my view that the club should monitor the views of fans (which I think they do). That is why I will continue to be against Beale until he is appointed. Others presumably like yourself will accept that everything the club does or plan should be supported - we are different. They really really shouldn't. If the club go against their plan because of fan opinion I will no longer support this regime. That would be the stupidest thing they could ever do.We have so many fans with numerous diverse views. Whats the overall track records of managers got to do with this ownership group?Overall, the club has a very poor record with managers. The last 2 have left earlier than might be expected so something appears to be amiss at least with communication or contracts!
A trifle OTT methinks. I would like to think (naively almost certainly) that the club haven't made a decision yet but are testing the water. If the club go against their plan because of fan opinion I will no longer support this regime. That would be the stupidest thing they could ever do.
Haha just seen this after my recent post where i quoted the exact same namesThey really really shouldn't. The club hasnt done anything yet tho (some would say thats the issue). You are criticising the club before anyone has been appt based on rumours. Fair enough they are rumours from very reliable sources but they are still just rumoursWe have so many fans with numerous diverse views. I'm sure that the board take account of our views and then make their decision - that's the way it should be.The club hasnt done anything yet tho (some would say thats the issue). Nothing wrong with saying i think he would be a poor choice as thats your opinion. But you are saying this board still listen to us as the track record of managers is poor, thats not on them
Who’s Imo ?
No it's not though. Any well ran club does not listen to fan opinion on football related decisions. Football fans are shortsighted, uneducated in the footballing world, too passionate to make level headed decisions.I'm sure that the board take account of our views and then make their decision - that's the way it should be.
I think you are confusing listening to and taking account of views with letting the fans make the decisions. No it's not though.
