Longman, Bernard, Baxter all contributed a lot that season. Our best players last season were all here before AcunThe players signed that summer barely contributed to the 17th place finish. Was mainly down to the academy and players already here

You were fairly confident we would be able to compete for top 6 not too long ago if we signed the right players, mate. Has our business in the transfer market so far changed your mind?
I think we’ll be around 10-16th. Disappointing but last summer ****ed us, this summer has been scraping the barrel and I just don’t have that much faith in an experienced manager to work wonders.
We were trying to get a player who went for £7m… rightWe missed out on a few transfers which I thought we'd get (they'd come in alongside the ones we have). Wright being one of them.

Yeah hence the odd decision to be having targets out our price rangeHence why we didn't get him.
Exactly everyone knows we need wingers and we’ve started the season with one on the bench and no way he was first choice. We haven't got our players in yet have we. Everyone knows we want at least one winger, and probably Twine too. And the one winger we have signed hasn't had chance to play yet.
Who is Allan Summer?Last summer was wasteful, but I don't what you're on about comparing it to the last Allan summer. That was the Cannon, Moncur, Williams, Bernard year. Surely you've got confused there because if not you're talking crazy.

Because they've already bought another five players for a combined total of £17m. Where is their income coming from to pay the wages of footballers on that level? I can understand a club like Leicester or Soton paying that given where they came from, but Coventry are just going to end up back in trouble again. They don't strike me as any better than us in terms of personnel and while they overachieved last season, they were heavily reliant on Hamer and Gyokeres. I didn't think they looked anything like good enough to go up when we played them.
But, I suppose I could say the same about Luton.
Alan Nixon reporting Man United are now prepared to let Matej Kovar go. City and Red Star Belgrade are interested
The income is the sale of Gyokores?
Yes but that's gone already, assuming that they received it all in one go, which isn't very likely.
The transfer fees they've paid wipe out the Gyokeres money straight away, so I'm not sure where the money for their wages is going to come from. I know the owner has a bit of cash, but given the recent history, it's not likely they would want to risk financial problems again.
Let’s chill on Vaughan abit. The only thing that has been impressive about him at championship level is that he doesn’t look out of place (albeit he did today against a fully fit side playing for something)So 8 goal Tufan and the glimpses we've seen of a fit Traore and young Harry were not more exciting than Longman, cannon, Williams et al?
He would be fun. Raw but talented as **** from what I've seen.
Think Baxter on steroids with a slightly deranged look in his eye.

LR wanted his business done early, we kicked off today still needing players, I understand things don’t always go to plan but surley the plan has to be get what we need early and done. If they can’t be done early or not at all then they can’t be considered first choice.
“When” has to be a factor of first choice
