Our midfield is piss poor...Seri too lightweight, Slater similar build = mid table midfielders..

Well without spending the sums of money Leicester, Southampton and Coventry are, that's probably where we'll end up. All we need is to be competitive, I wouldn't worry about promotion this season.
I agree. 100%. I think going down is very unlikely, but top 6 is a pipe dream. Not even sure the owner wants a top 6 finish. I heard him talking about a top 10 finish, though I only heard a snippet courtesy of Blunderside, and might have miss heard or heard it out of context.

You were fairly confident we would be able to compete for top 6 not too long ago if we signed the right players, mate. Has our business in the transfer market so far changed your mind?

I think we’ll be around 10-16th. Disappointing but last summer ****ed us, this summer has been scraping the barrel and I just don’t have that much faith in an experienced manager to work wonders.

Luton and Coventry were both up there without spending those sums last season. It’s some feat to have the last summer under the Allam’s be better than both the new regimes summer windows…

We needed wingers last season LR knew it, he’s happy with what we’ve done, he’s getting his first choice targets….we still need wingers
Worrying that 2 of his first choices are players that completely undermine his desire for robust players…

Last summer was wasteful, but I don't what you're on about comparing it to the last Allan summer. That was the Cannon, Moncur, Williams, Bernard year. Surely you've got confused there because if not you're talking crazy.

We haven't got our players in yet have we. Everyone knows we want at least one winger, and probably Twine too. And the one winger we have signed hasn't had chance to play yet.

Worse players yes. Bottom 3 wage budget finishing 17th vs top 8 finishing below that. Therefore the summer under the Allams was more successful.
