Festival of archaeology in the old town this weekend. Looks like the same sort of medieval things put on for Hansa day.

Take your kids and grandkids down. Can walk to the game afterwards.
I went to a talk last night as part of it, at Hull Minster.
It was a Professor talking about 1800’s graveyards and how Hull was somewhat of a trendsetter.
It was considerably better than it sounds!

Really like what they are doing to some of the buildings down Whitefriargate. The work done on the old Telstar looks great as does the bar on the corner opposite where Boots used to be.

Was down there yesterday and they're doing a proper job on the Burtons building. Stripped back to the brickwork. Opened out all the ground floor. The Telstar building has some lovely looking new windows. Unfortunately the first thought I had was to wonder how long it will be before some ****er puts them through.
