Keegan, Rush, Souness, Kennedy, Dalgliesh? Weren’t exactly pennies.. Forest smashed the British transfer record when they signed Trevor Francis, for double the previous record.

Success in English football has generally followed the money most of the time. Liverpool late 70s/80s, Everton/Arsenal late 80s, United 90s then Chelsea after the millennium and City after that.
True they weren’t pennies, but the big money was in Italy, why do you think Rush,Souness and Trevor Francis ended up there

Forest won the European Cup with Frank Clark, a reject free transfer up the road. Birtles from non league. And on.

City are funded by an oil rich state, using opaque accounting methods.

That lot up there are now the same.

Whatever either do will always be tainted by the fact that they have bought, not only the players and the coaches to ensure it, but the authorities' acquiescence in the matter.

Nothing can ever change that.

Interesting.

Front 4 of...
Roberts...Bellingham...Clarke
Semenyo

For the Ipswich game. Maybe we get Simms in so we don't need to throw Semenyo in.

Pre season will be intruiging to see who plays where and how many minutes they get in certain positions.

He's played most his games for England as a 10 so wouldn't be surprised to see him being used there. Maybe a replacement for Pritchard long term?

Neil Ekwah
Roberts Bellingham Clarke
Semedo

On a side note; wonder if Jude will be there too?
