    Fantastic news. Both of our full backs tied down long term.

    They're both nailed on starters for me and can also be that for us in the Premier League. Tough defenders, first and foremost which I really like. Both have the ability to play in a back 3 too, which gives us a lot of flexibility.

    My issue with the buy back clause is that they could do a deal to bring him back and sell him on at huge profit to a club he is happy joining. They could off him a hefty lump of their profit to sweeten the deal too. Its happened before - I think perhaps we did when we signed on of the German lads.

    Thing is, everyone knows the size and potential of this club.

    Our top players could all move to PL, any one of them signing shows that they see what we see within the club and the direction and ambition.

    Regardless of the clause the fact he’s signed on shows where the club is heading.

    The lad is a quality l, quality footballer.

    It will still be in, the terms of a sale has nothing to do the the players personal terms, 2 totally different things mate, the buy back and any sell on fees will be locked in stone till he leaves

    Exactly, he has no contract with spurs at the moment so without signing one he can't be their player, simple fact is that if he wants to stay then he stays

    When does it expire? Has to have a shelf life! Let’s just hope we keep him until it dies, or there’s something written in that increases it over time!

    The main theory floating around is it would last the length of his original contract he signed with us which would be summer 2024.

    Normally a buyback clause is just a set fee and first refusal, the player can still turn the move down
