Apparently 1-1 at fulltime so ET was played and Boro won 3-1. Not the foggiest who scored? You may be right??
A different issue. The poster was saying he had made money out of disasters as though it was reprehensible he made money out of making things useful in times of trouble.
What I said in my earlier post: the circumstances around Shota's sacking and the Athletic article about it. This bit specifically:
Still don't see any evidence. Fair bit if jumping to conclusions. Please for everyone's sake never sit on a Jury
He's spending more than £16m on fees and wages this season, so yes, he's spent it all. He certainly didn't 'trouser it'.
I honestly think he's one of our best players. I'd be surprised if he didn't start most games for us this season. I think the criticism he gets is harsh and probably deep rooted in semi-unfounded gossip that kicked up around the time he signed. It's why I try to block out stuff like that because it can effect judgement. He really messed up with his header on Sunday, but he's made less mistakes than most of the squad so far this season. He's good defensively and going forwards. You could argue he should do more of the defensive side, but we've no idea how he's been instructed game by game and when he has tracked back he's put in some brilliant tackles and broken up play. Not to turn this into a bashing post but if anyone needs dropping at the moment it's Greaves, and it's needed to happen for a while. He seems to constantly get caught out, struggles to read the game and keep up, on the ball seems to lump it out for a throw in under no pressure 50% of the time... I know he's young and he will improve, but I think giving him a break could do wonders. On Sunday Figs was ten times the player he has been so far for us. Perhaps we need to deploy Grevaes in a similar no nonsense way?
Then there is a third kind, like the one I last worked for (albeit a different sport) who is putting £1,200,000 a year into his club (current loan stands at £22 million from him in 16 years) but is the sole reason the club is currently languishing in its lowest ever league position and in danger of getting relegated again next season. He is the life support machine and trauma all in one bundle of mentalness! Lovely bloke though.
You’re talking such garbage, as per usual, that you’re fortunate to receive a response from me at all.
No, Hudgell was a great guy to work for and whilst he has punted a lot into Rovers it was nothing like that amount. He also ran the club very well and learnt quickly from any mistakes he made. I was referring to London. Owners of elite sports clubs tend to have big personalities, its how they got to where they are and why they have the balls to take on such dangerous businesses, but those personalities do not always go down well with supporters if they are not getting success on the field. I feel like Acun has the right intentions but is being badly advised and is making a lot of mistakes which is costing him financially. How long he will put up with it is the big question. Running a Championship football club must be one of the hardest jobs in sport, the league is full of huge clubs, good players and decent managers, you need to get it right quickly to survive.
There are plenty of clubs in similar positons across Sport. Wasps and Worcester going into administration, numerous football clubs, Rugby League is going to lose clubs next year almost certainly. Scunny is an odd one. I met Rodwell there years ago and he was a decent enough bloke, showed us the plans for the new stadium, all seemed like a great set up. How quickly it all went tits up.
All I said is I find it to hard to believe he isn't having an influence at all on team selection. Like I said, to me it looks like it from the available evidence. They clearly fell out over something and there is a clear pattern around the recent change from a back 3 to a back 4. If you see it differently that's fine.
No, really it’s fine, it’s my day off today so I’m enjoying playing with you. It’s a football forum so we’re all allowed an opinion, and you’re nothing if not consistent, as your opinion is always wrong.
well at least you can't dispute the mark of a moron it is funny though, that regardless of whether my opinion is deemed incorrect, afterall it is an opinion on a discussion board and you resort to attempting petty insults shows what a sad bastard you are
Shota was in borrowed time since the the game before the break. He was sacked when we thought we had a replacement. If you're looking for a reason for a falling out then look at results and performances. Any chairman there ever has been would be asking questions/discussing remedial actions with their manager when things aren't going well and more likely to take a back seat when they are.
