Well, there's your problem, right there. If you insist on calling your dishwasher unloading regime 'a game', the gods will never take it seriously, and Saints will not get any supernatural assistance. Dishwasher unloading isn't a matter of life of death, it's more important than that. Oh, and we'll win 2-1. I expect.

The wife calls it a game, especially when I broke her favourite cup. Incidentally, that was on the day of the Carling Cup game v Chelsea (IIRC) last year. I broke the cup, we get knocked out of the cup. Maybe I should have held it aloft and done a lap of honour around the kitchen.

You are right, the dishwasher and the universe are one.

Djenepo apparently did well at LB so I expect him to start there again. Is Romeu injured? Or just out of favour?

I fully expect Ralph to stick with 3 CB’s, just to give the opposition a chance. Make it nice and competitive. I would play;

Bazza
KWP ABK Sally Djenepo
Romeu Lavia
Aribo JWP
Che Mara

I think this is the correct number of players.
Djenepo did well at LWB, not LB. As soon as we’d equalised, Ralph swapped him for Stephens because Djenepo as a full back gave Ralph and about 30000 other people in the stadium a bad case of the heeby jeebies. So 5 at the back it is, if no Perrauld.

I would play;

4-2-3-1
Baz
kwp ABK sally Perraud
Jwp Lavia
Aribo Stu Arma
Adams

If Perraud is still out then I’d probably push KWP to left back and put Valery at RB.

This formation makes the most sense to me with the available players. So it probably won’t happen.

The beauty of a forum like this is that it throws together people with different views and imagination. The result is that from time to time something is posted where you think "where the hell did that come from"?

Stephens didn't come on until the 91st/92nd minute.

My son and I are going to the game on Saturday and it’s our first one away at Leicester. Just wondered if anybody has any helpful recommendations regarding where it might be best to park and places to eat? If you have, please feel free to send me a message rather than reply on the thread. Thanks. COYS.

Yeah, I had a feeling it was a bit after the goal in reality. I think my point is valid though: Djenepo was great while we were “all in”, but once the adrenaline had dropped a bit and Leeds recovered some composure he looked like a point of weakness. I know there was a case where he was being pressed by two players midway in our half and his instinct was to try to trick his way past them. He lost the ball and was fouled, but it was the wrong time and place to be doing that. Not the instinct of a real fullback.

There used to be good park and ride options at Leicester where you can bus into the town centre and walk from there. I think there is one north and south of the city.

We usually use the car park in Saffron Lane by the athletics stadium, used to be £5 on the door. A bit of a mess getting out but only 5-10 minute walk to the stadium

Ffs Ralph has confirmed Perraud is still out for Leicester. He played 3 weeks ago in pre season so assuming he has had a set back, not ideal at all.

Looks like 5 at the back again

I thought that Ralph's reasoning for a back five was that players are not (yet) used to a different formation. This was before the Leeds game. During the Leeds game, the formation was switched, and we had rather more success. As Perraud didn't feature in the Leeds game, and the team played well, not to say considerably better, with a different defensive set up, why would Ralph revert to starting against Leicester with a back five, as the players have shown themselves to be capable of playing in a different set up?

He did cover that. He said the switch against Leeds was him going "all out" as we had nothing to lose - kind of true as we did have 3 strikers on the pitch.

Pretty stupid imo as the reason we had nothing to lose is because we can't play with 5 at the back! Hope I am wrong but i fully expect the same back 5 to start, possibly with Bednarek dropped for Lyanco.

KWP left back, valery or Stephens at right back.

either way, better than 5 at the back.

I’d even prefer Djenepo at left back in a 4. I can’t stand that god awful negative formation
