Summer transfer thread

Maybe it's because I detest all this tik tok and Instagram bollocks but I don't get why you would be on it making a tit of yourself if your day job makes you very wealthy.

Fair enough those that make a living on there, pisses me off that it's possible to be well off for something so stupid but at least it makes sense why they are on there. But ffs when you make 80k - 200k a Weem depending which is true why the **** would you bother.

I’m sorry like, not sure if I am reading this wrong but AN sounds frustrated, as are the fans, going into the championship with a squad still short of so many players is worrying
Reading it wrong??? He said one word! Could have been wearing a sombrero and smoking a cigar with a massive grin for all we know

"we struggled against L1 Accrington with a full strength team...this full strength team was one of the best in the league, miles better than Accrington. It's a friendly, means nowt. As Neil said last week, you often learn more in defeat. Today literally means nothing. We 'kinda' beat rangers, means nowt. We could have pumped Roma's first team 10-0, means nowt. Everton getting stuffed 4-0, means nowt. Haway man, have we not had enough off seasons to learn this. Didn't Newcastle one get stuffed by a ****e L1 team pre season then win the league?

They've nothing else to do mate.

Many of them actually boast about " never reading a book". They have a lot of time to fill in, and even the bright ones, of which there will be plenty, often remain undeveloped because of the cosseting they receive from their clubs

A fair few do good stuff in their spare time, a lot under the radar, but too many of them just seem to fill an empty void of time with more emptiness.

Wasn't Graeme Le Saux called "gay" by other players because he read the Guardian newspaper?

And the Times I think!

Mostly though because he was reading anything but the Mirror, Star or Sun. It is terrible and restrictive, inverted snobbery.

Many bright lads will have been dissuaded from reading wider because of this caveman like thinking. I took some colourful stick mesell as a kid when I would read the broadsheets on site!

When I think back to the dressing room culture I played in it was shocking. I used to get stick when I was at uni and was playing Saturdays - the lads would hammer me, but to be fair I gave plenty back. It was a very difficult environment to be anything other than a stereotype. It is much better now, much much better, thankfully, but there are still some issues which shouldnt exist. We are on the right track with it, bit of work left though.

He’d be a class signing but I’d be surprised to see us sign another CB. Also reckon he’d have PL offers…
Sometimes a player becomes available that wasnt expected and as a club you move if it makes you better. Bailey Wright hasnt done himself any favours today, and you have to wonder if we dont think we may need to upgrade. He has the appearance of the type of signing we would make.

We sacked off the Liverpool lad for Cirkin in exactly those circumstances I think. If a better player becomes available I hope weare flexible to make a move.
