In league 1, yeah.

Does that change anything? He got all those assists because his crossing is good. No one's scoring from a bad cross, regardless of what league they're in. He's evidently pretty good on the ball, and I think that's clear from watching him anyway.

He's just the trendy one to criticise these days for some reason.

It suggests he's much more effective at L1 level and Fleming is more productive in his position at the level we are currently at.

I don't disagree with any of that, although the first part is meaningless - everyone would be more effective at a lower level.

Wider point is that for some there are question marks over his ability to push us forward in this league as he's been justifiably dropped in favour of a youngster recently and the assists ratio at the current level is a lot less spectacular than you were alluding to, as most came in L1.

Elder was absolutely fine last season. He didn't even get dropped, he just got injured and Fleming took the chance he'd been waiting years for when it finally came. Elder still got subbed on regularly when he got fit again, often playing out of position to help us see out games, which says a lot about his value as a player.

I'm well aware that a lot of people are saying he isn't good enough any more, but I think it's a crazy narrative that's just snowballed for no good reason beyond people needing a scapegoat.

If the reported drunken rant about the club is true, then he hasn't helped himself either.

That said if he's here as a squad player this season then he'll probably be fine, if unspectacular.

Suspect we might be prepared to listen to any decent offer, mind.

I don’t have any concerns about Elders ability but i’m never confident he has the ‘metal’ in him to dominate whoever he is up against. He’s a bit too neat and tidy when i like a full back who can trample over their opposite number if needed.

Is it just me or do those stats not look to great
Nope, looks a grafter, good defensive numbers for a forward but that’s not what we are signing him for<laugh>

Aside from key passes his numbers are pretty sub-par. Let’s hope coming to a lower level they improve…

Sinik looks a decent player, capped 5 times for the Turkiye senior team, made 31 appearances for Antalyspor last season who finished 7th in the league. Is he better than KLP? who knows. I am just hoping he isn't the next David Beresford albeit a Turkish one.
