Are they the 500 he took over there? I have not seen anything about it so presume I didn't get selected!!

No, some City fans went to the game of their own accord. Acun's 500 fans trip hasn't happened yet, nor have any details regarding it been confirmed.

You're reply is testament to how well the academy is doing. Asking who's next instead of merely hoping we can produce something

So true we’ve had years of missing the Robinson’s and Barmby’s of the world. 100 years of producing very little, we have probably produced more in the last 3-5 years than the past 90 or so.

Where the **** does Tetteh fit in? Are we on the hunt for a left winger now as well?

A professional.football squad usually has more than 1 striker in it.

As for the left winger, Isn't that Sinik?

Forget about Sinik.

Baxter
RB (PL loan?) Greaves Fig Fleming
Seri CDM Tufan
Allay Estupinan Sinik

Crazy to think we could start the new season with only 3x starters who were with us last season.

Slater made a pretty big statement with his performance last night.

Just caught up to half time on yesterday's game and Slater is playing well.

The problems are pretty similar to last season, there's just no control of the midfield, and we lose it too easily.

If we're playing with wingbacks then you can't play Coyle or Elder. They get a lot of space in that formation, and they aren't good enough on the ball.

Liking Longman's performance, he's best on the left but putting a real shift in.

Tufan was nowhere near as bad as people are making out. They played at a very good tempo, and while he's clearly off the pace, that's to be expected as he's barely played football in 6 months. Ideally you'd want his first few games to be against lower quality sides but the 45 mins will do him lots of good.

Seemed quiet, but neat and tidy and given its a fitness excercise, i'm not too concerned as long as we see improvement in the next few weeks.

Yep whilst he wasn’t particularly box to box, he still made tackles by being in the right place. Don’t think he’s best in a middle 2 tho need more legs around him to get the best out of him imo. Best way to get fit is playing games not running on the training ground.

He needs to get his match fitness up without a doubt. It's pretty tough to judge him against a side that could be playing CL football though. Fenerbahce are better than anyone we'll be playing this season in the league.

Hopefully he gets 60 mins against Malaga, I'm intrigued to see how he does then as it's a pretty huge step down.

He does need to lose a bit of weight too, but he's stocky and he's always going to be stocky. At a push he might need to lose half a stone, but that's easy in 3 weeks for a pro footballer. Getting him used to playing again will probably take longer though

If you consider the fact he has been a key part of the squad we were up against, I don't think his ability is really in doubt. Let's hope he gets up to speed quickly.
