Interesting question. I'd imagine though that, with the presence of Speakman and that kind of set up, transfer policy will remain largely the same as it was when Johnson was manager.Does anyone know what Alex Neil's history is with developing young players and giving them game time? Understandably he went with expirience in our situation to get us up. With a full pre season are we likely to see a lot more of Dan Neil next year for example? Did he bring in any good youngsters from the Prem when he was at Norwich or Preston or are we likely to be in the market for experienced 100+ game players?
Going through that list it looks like a mix of young talent (20 yrs old) and experienced headsInteresting question. I'd imagine though that, with the presence of Speakman and that kind of set up, transfer policy will remain largely the same as it was when Johnson was manager.
Here's a list of players that Alex Neil has signed:

I didn't realize he signed Madison for Norwich. Ben Godfrey also move to Everton recently and ho obviously signed Pritchard when he was only 22/23 so seems a canny mix. Sergio Canos got regular game time fro Brentford as well this season.Interesting question. Looks like a good track record doesn't it? He had a guy called Joe Savage as his chief scout/head of recruitment at all of his clubs prior to us so I reckon a lot of it will have been down to him. He's now sporting director at Hearts.I didn't realize he signed Madison for Norwich. Good mix of foreign and domestic as well. If he needs that fella to come down from Hearts then the hierarchy may find a job for him.Looks like a good track record doesn't it? Definitely. If Speakman doesn't work out, Savage might make a perfect replacement!Good mix of foreign and domestic as well. If he needs that fella to come down from Hearts then the hierarchy may find a job for him.
I would put a bid in for dwight gayle at the mags, proven goalscorer in the championship
I don't. Defoe was a mistake and the Keane thing turned into a mess (and we don't really know how much of that was down to Speakman) but of the players that have come in since he arrived, more have turned out to be a success than haven't.
I would try and get Roberts in on a long term deal. Huge value in the pipeline with him and he has shown he can do it in the championship.
I would get Gooch tied down again. I would like to see Doyle back for another season. I would keep Hoffman if we can. I would do a deal for Broadhead, but only if the price is right. Same for Dujaku.
I reckon we will strengthen across the park, but we have a core of a very good championship team already. Patto, Cirkin, Baath, Evans, Neil, Embo, Pritch, Stewart will all be better in the championship for me.
That's a fair comment mate. January/February was a bit of a balls up, but recruitment generally has been far better since he came in.

Honestly mate, if Neil goes it will be a bloody travesty. He is tailor made for higher level football and will look a million dollars in the championship. I would be amazed if he doesnt increase his value significantly. If he is worth £10m now he will be £25m after a year in the championship. The lad is on another level to anything we have produced out of our academy, in my opinion, in many a year. If we sell low now it will be a bad sign for me.
Romaine sawyers , Luke freeman both be good signingsList of released players...

I was talking about this to a pal earlier, we decided Gayle, Hayden, Murphy and Darlow would all be too signings for the Championship.
Not suggesting we will sign any of them but they’ve such a Championship squad.
